★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Situated in the picturesque village of Avlemonas, with its romantic atmosphere and beautiful bays. Whatever you order at Sotiris, it seems as if it was just plucked out of the sea when you placed your order. The lobster spaghetti at Sotiris is a must! possibly the best I've ever had.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overrated and way to pricey for what you eat. Not something special. Food fried in poor quality oil. We paid 5 euro for a small plate of Taramasalata which tasted like mashed bread. Frozen calamari, completely rubbery. Four small courgette-balls for the price of 6 euro! Just another typical Greek fish taverna. Nothing more nothing less.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rude staff and low food quality make this place totally not worth your money. We ordered fresh fish that was not up to our expectations. Minced meat was inedible. Fried calamari and French fries were the only two tasty dishes. All in all they could not accomodate our needs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the worst places we’ve been. Most of the food was mediocre but the highlight was the octopus that was literally coal. When we told that to the waiter he didn’t care at all and he was like “ok if you say so”. Also, always ask for receipt as they don’t give it to you, unless you ask them, in order to avoid paying taxes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The location is great overlooking the gulf of Avlemonas and the prices are fare to what offered. Fish plates and other seafood were very tasty. The staff was friendly and fast the only downside from what we ate on the 2 times we went there, were the beef burger plate, the quantity was fine but the beef burger itself was terrible, I didn't eat them. Of course it's a fish tavern, someone could argue, but still if you have it in the menu you should honor it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant was unbelievable, the staff are so welcoming and friendly, they even gave me tips on things to do and see in Kythira. PS Make sure you order the Calamari, it is life changing.
