Splendour Resort Santorini - Firostefani

It’s a gorgeous hotel . Very nicely situated, on the calm side of the city , with a lot of privacy. If you get outside the hotel , across the road , you are in the busy part of the town, where probably in the summer 10.000 people walk at the same time at the same spot . We were happy to be here at the end oh April and not during the summer . Must be overcrowded… the hotel complex is gorgeous, without being pretentious. And we were happy to stay at this quite hotel . We were very lucky to have booked the junior suite with a private pool . That room and pool are amazing . And you have the best view and the most privacy … so , go for that one , if your budget allows you to do that . Cleaning of the hotel and rooms are good . Daily service . And the girls are so friendly and helpful . Only critical point is breakfast. We expected more from a self acclaimed 5 star hotel . No fresh juice , just watery juices from a machine , coffee from a machine instead of freshly brewed coffee, and no variety at the breakfast . The whole week the same stuff , which gets boring after 6/7 days . We had a pick up at the last day at 8 am . We were at 7-40 at the breakfast and it was still closed . They open up at 8 am they said , which is quite late for a hotel . We asked if they could open a bit earlier , so at least we could have a sandwich and a coffee for departure , and the reception did the best to make this happen/ work . And after 5 min they opened the doors . So , compliments for that . Even though in the beginning they didn’t show any flexibility and or understanding. But actually a hotel like this should provide a breakfast a bit earlier . Lots of people get up early when on holiday . Overall we would give this hotel a 9 +. If they would work on their breakfast , it could go up for a 10. Btw , staff at breakfast are very very very friendly . So , it’s not about them , it’s about the variety and freshness . Splendour , work on that ! And go for the 10 !

Stated as a 5 Star Resort by easyJet, would probably say it's a 3 Star Resort at best and that's being generous. Rooms and Pool area are lovely, but air con in room just blew out hot air and TV was broken. There was a pool side bar but was never really stocked with drinks and no one was ever around to serve either. Lists a lot of activities on website like Spa, massage, hairdressers etc, none of which are anywhere to be seen Resort decided to book in massive groups of teenage school kids, who did nothing but shout, scream and play music at 1/2 o'clock in the morning, informed reception who promptly did nothing, this happened at least 5 times in 1 week, at one point being kept awake until Half 3 in the morning. What 5 Star Resort books in massive groups of school kids? Paid for Half Board, but ended up eating in the fantastic restaurants in Thira as the meals provided were bland and without much choice at all. We were there for nearly 2 weeks and the breakfast and dinner choices were the same every day. Don't stay here unless you are ok with all of the above. Definitely not worth the nearly £5k we paid to stay here for 12 nights

Great Hotel, Spacious Rooms, Food, and Service! Also Imerovigli is the best location in Santorini. Two steps from the Caldera but at the same time quiet and private location overlooking the south of the Island.

Good location breakfast was good not great went half Broad which was very poor and only served between 6 and 8 better to eat out. Which we did .hotel was very clean. expensive bar . Nice big rooms

Room with private pool. Very friendly staff, good location, spacious, no squeezed hotel feeling like in the caldera. Cold pool but great overall experience. We will come back.

Noisy. Deep radio and advertisements, no moment of calm, and when asked to lower the sound the staff put it back to the fullest. So people leave the bar. Too bad because the rooms are very clean and its staff is very good, good welcome, very easy reservations for car and excursions. the location is good to radiate on the island.

Can't recommend this hotel enough. Much of Santorini is overlooked due to how it's built ?. Splendor in at the top and in the middle(ish) with no overlooking, no tourists ready to snap your snooze around the pool. A nice quiet location. Our rooms had sunrise. The town was a 7 minute walk away for sunset. Haris on reception is wonderful, she gave us suggestions on where to eat (everyone a hit) what to do. She booked all our trips, secured our quads so we didn't have to lose precious holiday time. The rooms are bright, airy and clean. You get the usual European aroma on occasion but that's to be expected. Pool does get busy, secure your spot (?). Drinks reasonably priced. Breakfast a very good selection something for everyone. We didn't eat any main meals here, but they did smell mighty good. A recommended hotel to stay.

Very good resort. I stayed here for 10 days, I was given an upgrade to an apartment with our own private indoor Jaccuzi, with our room overlooking the sea. The room was large,had a king-size bed and a living room with 2 sofas. The reception staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. The breakfast was very nice with a good choice of food. The swimming pool was good had enough sunbeds it was clean. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and linen. I would highly recommend this place especially for couples as it is very quiet and lovely apartments. I would definitely come back here again.
