★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ένα απερίγραπτο τοπίο της μαγευτικής φύσης, σε κάνει να νομίζεις πως βρίσκεσαι κάπου εκτός Ελλάδας. Πανύψηλα δέντρα κι ένας δρόμος που κάνει ελιγμούς στην προσπάθεια του να μην ενοχλήσει την γαλήνια ύπαρξη τους. Πολλά κοπάδια μοσχαριων και αγελάδων κινούνται διακριτικά ανάμεσα στο δάσος και τη λίμνη, δείχνοντας τον ακακο χαρακτήρα τους. Δυστυχώς, λόγω της μεγάλης τουριστικής κίνησης, τα σκουπίδια δεν εκλείπουν,αφού ορισμένοι ανεγκεφαλοι αφήνουν χαρτιά και κουτάκια, πεταμένα πακέτα και μπουκάλια να μολύνουν αυτόν τον υπέροχο τόπο.
 An indescribable landscape of enchanting nature, makes you think that you are somewhere outside Greece. Tall trees and a road that maneuvers in an effort not to disturb their peaceful existence. Many herds of calves and cows move discreetly between the forest and the lake, showing their awkward character. Unfortunately, due to the large tourist traffic, the garbage does not disappear, as some brainless people leave papers and boxes, discarded packages and bottles to contaminate this wonderful place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Picturesque forest, a national park, unique of it's kind. There are hiking paths inside the forest, nice for walking, as well as a road that someone may drive through the forest (a dirt one). It is located next to the Kalogria beach, so someone can combine the visit also with swimming.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gorgeous forest next to a huge sandy beach. If you're lucky you can spot flamingos in the lagoon or sea turtles on the beach. Don't forget to visit Gianniskari beach too.
