★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No police or security in sight. A free for all hunting grounds for pick pockets. Me and my wife got our passports stolen fairly easily by a team of three people crowding the entrance for the train.
Please get some security and police presence! It's a damn shame.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Here, I spent 70 mins in queue for a ticket to the airport. Midway, I saw that only one of the two tills were open and I urged the one clerk at the counter to please do something to get the other till opened as well. It eventually was, but service was extremely slow. One clerk was at times even making private calls and even let some people jump the queue. I had tried buying a ticket at the machines but they would only deal with personal travel cards, e.g. putting more money on one's card etc. I suggest traveling from other stations if at all possible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Only around half an hour from the airport this metro station offers you direct and good connections with all other metro stations and points of interest in the city. Prime location , opposite the Hellenic Parliament and Syntagma Square. The station is very well organised and clean. It looks like a museum with a permanent exposition of artworks . Tourists get already in the mood for their visit to the many archeological sites nearby.
As a hub metro station it is most of the time very busy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We can say that this station is the central station of Athens city which connects several suburbs of Attica. During the construction of the station archaeological elements were found and also from newer eras (Byzantine and Ottoman period, as well as the period of the new Greek state). Samples of these finds are displayed inside the station, as well as a historical - geological section left intact after the station is completed☺

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Syntagma Station is the centerpiece of the Athenian subway network. From here you can reach anywhere in this subway network. From here you can get to the airport for a few dozen minutes. It is a very beautiful architecture with ancient Greek art inserts. Unfortunately, the subway network is also used by thieves. Be careful not to keep money, personal documents and bank cards in the same place!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You have to purchase a ticket and validate it where you see those signs on the floor, otherwise you will get a fine of up to 60 times the fare value depending on your destination. The Athens subway is very clean. The Syntagma square is large and busy and might be a little confusing for those who are not used to take the subway.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The busiest station in the whole of Athens Metro. Trains pass eveey 4 minutes whuch is nice (rush hour) at both line 2 & 3. There is correspondance with Tram at the Syntagma sq. and many busses at all directions. Airport metro passes every 30'
