Delicious! Nice view. A lot of people mix up this garden skinaria with restaurant on the second floor - choose the garden one!

We got judged for ordering only 1 Greek salad and some drinks. Greek salad was okay. We got some bread with olive oil and herbs on the side which we didn’t ask for, but did have to pay for. Not that much of a problem, but still a little weird. Also when tipping don’t expect them to thank you or even say anything. Just held up her hand and walked away. Wouldn’t come here again.

It might be OK if you just wanted to take away a coffee, drink or ice cream but it operates awfully as a restaurant. We experienced: (1) sitting on worn plastic chairs with uncleaned hands, (2) no full price-list except of the written (incompletely) by chalk on a black-board for “day dishes”, (3) eating on a table without any cover after a fast cleaning of its top surface with a wet cloth as in the pre-covid era, (4) no towels at all (not even paper) except of the cheap paper towel that was rolled around the fork and knife, (5) impossible to ask anything else during lunch, since the (only) waitress was completely overwhelmed (cleaning tables, taking orders for food, selling take-away beverages, coffees and ice creams, etc.), (6) no compliance to covid19 measures, e.g. complete lack of masks, no antiseptic on the tables but only in the toilet (not really needed because of soap), malfunctioned paper towel machines in the rest rooms, (7) no complimentary fruit or sweet with raki at the end that is a symbol for Cretan hospitality, (8) half an hour delay to get the bill (the waitress was busy serving ice creams), (9) unbelievably unprofessional and rude attitude of the boss; he wanted to get paid first and then show us the bill, (10) a nice garden but with an occasional stinky smell from organic garbage. All these could be acceptable for a seaside cantina with normal prices, instead they charge prices of a very fancy restaurant. One cannot meet such prices (e.g. 18 Euro for a portion of grilled calamari) in the most luxurious restaurants of the Plakias region.

Unfortunately we went to the only other place the first day. This is a real restaurant. Fresh ingredients and no microwaves. Meat cooked to perfection and no limp fries. Beautiful surroundings and the best beach in the area. Well worth a visit.

Excellent taverna by the beach. It’s pricier than the neighboring option, but it is excellent and worth it. The stand-outs were the courgette flowers (stuffed with rice), the calamari (great quality, and grilled to perfection) and the ice cream. The ice cream is sheep’s milk and had excellent flavor balancing the brightness of the sheep milk. Also good were the chicken souvlaki, Greek salad and the wine. Great service, good coffee bar as well, and they speak Russian too :)

Great location and above all a suitable offer for all visitors to the beach ... Free parking for guests (and others) .... Interestingly, do not be fooled by the facade of the building, next to the building is a garden that offers a better experience ...

Very tasty food, nice atmosphere and perfect service. The coffee is delicious. The prices are normal, especially for drinks. The toilet is very clean and fresh. Highly recommend this place.

Very good fresh quality meals, great music, great atmosphere, great view. Olga and Jakobus with their cook in the garden tavern are doing a great job! Thank you very much for relaxing hours there.
