m	menbehaving Badly on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have been in Skala for a week now and have visited quite a few Tavernas around town. Last night we went to Manolis after seeing a lot of + reviews. We were absolutely gobsmacked by the food, the hospitality of the family and the value for money at this taverna. Manolis is the best place we have been so far by quite a distance. My partner loved the red wine and the owners even gave us a bottle on the house to take home. The grilled octopus has been a highlight of my holiday so far. I would highly recommend this place. We have another week in Skala and we will 100% go back to Manolis many more times before we leave Kefalonia. Amazing!!!!
L	Lisa Hallam on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely gorgeous fresh cooked food! Lovely outdoor seating. Chef does all the grill/bbq of the food in the garden. So reasonable in price too! The ribeye veal was around 13/14 euro. The swordfish was around 9euros. Staff so nice and you are given a small dish of melon for free after your meal. It is tucked away from the main streets . The friends we went with had the grilled squid as a starter and that was delicious also!

The new decor is very nice, although the cushions on the metal seats too thin so pretty uncomfortable. The welcome wasn't great, a little blasé to be honest. The food was very nice and was impressed with the choice on the menu, including my favourite Kontosouvli ☺️ I found the youngest waiter to be quite inattentive and very difficult to get his attention. Our meal was good though and we all enjoyed what we ordered.

The portions are generous, chicken and mixed souvlaki are delicious. watermelon on the house after the meal is a welcome bonus . Ridiculously good value for money ( glass of wine 1.5 Euro) It's a very busy place in the evening, arrive early or later in the evening.

Both my meal and my wife's was lacking somewhat. Burnt tasteless and not well presented. Maybe they had a bad day. Will go again but not this year.
