Nous nous y sommes arrêtés pour remplir qqs bouteilles à une fontaine publique (je savais que l'eau de Zaros est distribuée dans toute la Grèce, pas seulement en Crète) et pour prendre une petite pause rafraîchissante après la visite des sites archéologiques de Phaïstos et d'Agia Triada et du village de Vori.
Nous nous sommes donc attablés à 4 dans cette jolie taverne pour y prendre des rafraîchissements. J'ai gardé un bon souvenir de cet endroit malgré un si bref passage. ?
1km,5 en surplomb de Zaros, se trouve le joli petit lac de Votomos, extrêmement touristique un dimanche par beau temps.
06/10/2019. I found the village of Zaros charming and peaceful. We stopped there to fill a few bottles at a public fountain (I knew that the water of Zaros is distributed throughout Greece, not only in Crete) and to take a refreshing break after visiting the archaeological sites of Phaistos and from Agia Triada and the village of Vori.
So we sat down at 4 in this nice tavern for refreshments. I kept a good memory of this place despite such a brief passage. ?
1km, 5 overlooking Zaros, is the pretty little lake Votomos, extremely tourist on a Sunday in good weather.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bardzo przyzwoita tawerna, w której znajdziecie wszystkie greckie klasyki: porządną porcję sałatki greckiej (warzywa w niej pachną!), homemade tzatziki, grubo skrojone frytki, ser saganaki, czy dolmadakia. Dania mięsne i ryba też mają swoje miejsce w menu. Do tego winko za 3 euro i można siedzieć godzinami przy stoliku pod drzewem i słuchać gwarnych rozmów miejscowych.
A very decent tavern where you can find all the Greek classics: a decent portion of Greek salad (vegetables smell like it!), Homemade tzatziki, thickly cut fries, saganaki cheese or dolmadakia. Meat and fish also have their place on the menu. In addition, wine for 3 euros and you can sit for hours at a table under a tree and listen to the loud conversations of the locals.
