This fortress is surprising by the multitude of its structures. From everywhere the views are pleasant. Over the town of Nafplion and its surrounding hills, and the views over the blue sea of Greece.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Luckily I found a gentleman whose property is next to the sight and he was willing to show me the way, otherwise it would have been very complicated. (On this occasion, thank you, sir!) The sanctuary was found by accident while some ground works in the olive groves and a proper excavation is still supposed to be done. From up there you have a great view over the village, landscape, to the islands and even Athens. I was told the temples (Sounio, Athens, Aegina etc) were able to communicate amongst each other in case of any danger with fire signals. On the ancient sight was later on built a byzantine church supposedly.
Frankly, unless you're an ancient Greece enthusiast such I am, it's not worthy for you to go there to burn your clutch and brakes in the steep hill.
