Stay somewhere else. I booked a room that in pictures looked bright and well managed. Instead no windows to the outside no air and outside a loud housekeeping closet. Lock to room broken. When I said that nothing in room matched description on the website they did not give a refund and wanted to charge me double to move to a room with air. No response to my spa email request beforehand. Plenty of beautiful places in the neighborhood. Nothing boutique about this place.

I am incredibly disappointed with the customer service at The Gem Society Hotel. I booked for my honeymoon with their "Book Now, Pay Later" refundable option. Unfortunately, I needed to change the dates of my stay. I reached out and was informed that the easiest way to do this would be to cancel my initial reservation and reschedule. Unfortunately, my refund never went through. I then had to cancel my trip in its entirely due to personal reasons. This was never refunded either. I reached out multiple times (4 +) to check in on the status of my refunds. I received a response to my initial email informing me that they would look into this. My second and third email went unanswered. My fourth email received a response similar to the first. I am incredibly disappointed with the costumer service. It has been close to two months since my initial cancellation. This is approximately $3,500 worth of refund that I am waiting for. I am located in the United States, and given the time zone difference and long-distance, I am unable to call and speak with someone. I was so looking forward to my stay with The Gem Society Hotel. Because of their customer service (or lack there of), I will not feel comfortable booking future trips with their company.

I was in the Junior Suite for three nights and it was perfect! Spacious, bright, comfortable bed. The highlight was definitely the bathroom, huge and with all the amenities. The staff was very friendly and helpful 24 hours a day. Super recommended, even for a romantic weekend.

We jut arrived from our city break ! Athens is great city. One of most important thing for me is to have cosy accommodation and possibility to get something to eat when my daughter is hungry… Hotels bistro is open till 23:30 and staff from reception to chef and staff in bistro are excellent … I recommend hotel to all who wants to enjoy stay in Athens! Position- perfect - close to attractions and night life.

First time in Athens - we couldn’t ask for better Hotel. Rooms are big and very clean. Brake-fast was delicious. Location is perfect - quiet street close to everything. A lot of coffee shops, bars and restaurants nearby. Thank you Gem Society for perfect holiday.

What an amazing experience we had at the Gem Society hotel. I think if it wasn't for the amazing staff, it would just be any hotel. I can't say enough good things about all the staff here. Breakfast was also very good. All freshly made and so delicious! The only reason that they deserve a 4 star and not 5 star was because the bathroom area was very badly done. Nice decor but so unpractical. Every time we used the sink, water just splashed everywhere. They haven't really thought about this space much.

What a great little find. This hotel is amazing. The staff were so helpful. We needed help with getting to Lefkas and had to leave a day early but the ladies on reception were incredible at sorting our tickets and getting us a taxi at the last minute. Breakfast was a real treat. Everything was cooked to order. The coffee was so good. The staff in the bar last night were fantastic…they kept the drinks coming and made us feel very welcome. The only negative thing was that the water from the shower leaked under the dividing wall into the toilet but I informed reception before we left so hopefully they will get their maintenance guy to sort it. Will definitely use them again when we return to Athens. Thank you

What a great choice! Stayed 3 nights with friends and got the junior suite. Lovely spacious room, awesome shower/bathroom, clean and neat. Breakfast was consistently good every day. The hotel is perfectly located in the city center and the staff is more than gracious, very helpful, friendly and hospitable. Would definitely come again, highly recommended! ??
