★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don’t think this place was actually the prison of Socrates, but it’s fun to think it was :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Socrates’ story is more impressive than the prison itself, but a great visit anyway. Our highlight was seeing a turtle entering the prison! ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very interesting place, not indicated so much, but a real piece of history close to the Acropolis.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty interesting to see but really not much else besides the historic part of it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's kind of funny to read the reviews of people talking about the history of Socrates... If they had just read the sign outside they would know it's the remains of an old mansion, not a prison at all ? walkway to get there is well maintained (stroller safe). Picture of sign attached.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What can really be said? Astonishing spot of history, where the past and present converge. Don’t miss this place on your way to Mars Hill or The Acropolis!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not really a prison, this used to be a luxury villa! Anyways I had a great time feeding the local ants, they had some of my gyros and also crisps. I highly recommend packing some snacks for them!
