Small but nice! Very nice museum, actually we wanted in the cave but closed for safety reasons. The nice staff informed us that the cave opens again, but when he could not say. In the museum some exhibits are exhibited and everything is beautifully arranged and explained!

We stood near the museum at the local stadium in a tent. The cave was not working. Crowds of tourists from Meteora are constantly brought to the museum.

Although small and dimly lit it has a great display of finds along with an inspirational entrance with archive material and contributors names on display.

The staff was very friendly, and it was free. Google maps had a odd route but worth going to. I talked to staff, the cave is still closed but hopes to be hoped in 6mo to 1 year time. Hopefully. ?

A very small but very interesting and informative museum. The actual cave is currently closed to the visitors but the museum is open. The visit only takes a few minutes but they are minutes well spent. In the cave which had signs of having been inhabited since 130.000 years ago, were found the third oldest footprints in the world as well as burials and several artifacts.
