To Mikro Livadi Residences & Family Restaurant - Episkopi Beach

Don't miss this place. Amazing food - high quality and genuine cuisine. Best food experience we've ever had in Crete. It's definitely worth coming here just on purpose from any part of the island. Lovely, family-run restaurant, wonderful people and deliscious Cretan cuisine. Best mousaka we've ever tried, but everything else is simply deliscious, made with high quality, local ingrediences.

We had a couple of very good evenings at this family restaurant. The owner family is very nice and is really caring about their guests. The food is really taste and freshly made from very good ingredients. We loved to be their and enjoyed the hospitality. The most amazing place that I've visited during my two weeks in Greece! The kindest and most genuine family own it and will sweep you off your feet with their hospitality! Just a short walk from the beach, you can actually hear the ocean from the restaurant! They have several items for sale that they make fresh from ingredients from their farm and some beautiful natural stones! I fell in love with this little slice of heaven and the sweet family, as well! I wish they would just adopt me! If I ever make it back to Greece, I will definitely be coming back here!!! LOVED my experience!!!

The location is excellent, walking distance to the beach and the property is everything we could wish for, spacious, clean and modern. We stayed in a 2 rooms apartment at the top floor with access to an amazing terrace, overseeing the mountains and the see. The restaurant has excellent cuisine, high quality ingredients, fresh simple recipes and... huge portions. When you get there be sure to try at least some of their signature dishes such as octopus in wine souse, snails (is hard to decide between the red souse and rosemary ones), fried baboons and of course, the Cretan lobster pasta accompanied by the fresh rose house wine. What makes the holiday perfect is the fact that the owners are very welcoming and once there you feel like a family member returning home.

The host family is very nice and genuine people. I felt like I was staying at my grandparents’ for summer. They make you feel like you’re at home and their kindness is genuine. This place is walking distance from Episkopi beach and all amenities are 5 minutes away by car. Their apartment is very clean and well taken care of. You can have the mountain view and sea view at the same time. I was lying on the couch in the hall at night and the mountain view from the window with lots of stars sparkling in the sky is hard to forget. Their food is absolutely amazing and the portion is very generous. The word ‘amazing’ is not enough. There were lots of locals sitting and enjoying their meals. It seems this restaurant is already well known amongst the locals. My picky 18 month old baby ate everything they served and my husband refused to go anywhere else. I enjoyed my stay here as a mum very much as this place is very baby/child friendly. My little toddler enjoyed playing in the garden. He always had something to do there, sometimes with other children from other families. We met two other families with children which made our holiday more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place for everything. If you want to experience real Cretan atmosphere, you should come and visit this place. this is not only accomodation or restaurant... this is attitude to life and one of the best experiences we ever made... everyone is just lovely, friendly and caring. it is almost like being part of the family. it is a perfect spot just to relax and enjoy life, nature and greek cuisine. if you have a rental car you can start a lot of great tours from this point. the apartment is excellent, clean and very well equipped. the view is just wonderful. the new pool is amazing. we had the best food of our lifes. we chose different things three days in a row. everything was delicious - masterclass cooking!!! if only we could eat more :D we want to say thank you for giving us a warm welcome and a wonderful time at mikro livadi! best wishes! until next time :) jan & sylvia

There’s only positive things to say about Mikro Livadi. The place is very quiet and surrounded by nature, and it’s very baby/child/famuly friendly. It has a fantastic pool with amazing views, and the beach is only 5 minutes away. Places are made by people, and Mikro Livadi has the best people: extremely friendly, helpful and caring. They make you feel like you’re part of their family. The food is one of the best we have ever eaten in Greece. Don’t miss out the breakfast! Angeliki, Malamatenia and her husband helped us with anything they could. Thank you for everything! We hope to see you again some other time.
