★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Τα εκπληκτικής ομορφιάς ρωμαϊκά ψηφιδωτά που χρονολογούνται στον 3-4 αιώνα μ.Χ. αποτελούσαν δάπεδα ενός κτιρίου με λουτρά. Κατά την ρωμαϊκή περίοδο στην πόλη της Σπάρτης κτίστηκαν πολλά κτίρια με ψηφιδωτά δάπεδα που αποκαλύπτονται κατά την διάρκεια των ανασκαφών. Με την ίδρυση του Νέου Μουσείου Σπάρτης θα εκτεθεί ένας μεγάλος αριθμός ψηφιδωτών δαπέδων που έχουν αποκολληθεί από την αρχική τους θέση για να χτιστούν τα κτίρια της σημερινής Σπάρτης. Ο χώρος αναβαθμίστηκε με την χρηματοδότηση από το Ίδρυμα Σταύρος Νιάρχος ενώ η μελέτη συντήρησης και η συντήρηση των ψηφιδωτών πραγματοποιήθηκαν από το επιστημονικό προσωπικό της Εφορείας Αρχαιοτήτων Λακωνίας.
