Olive Oil &Wine, the gifts of Cretan land! [duration approx. 6 hours]
This tour will travel you through scenic countryside and offer a journey in the island's farming and culinary trails with an intimate perspective of today’s Crete. Visits will include an estate producing olive oil, a local winery and a rustic family run eatery. Biolea, our fist stop, is an ecological prototype farm cultivated by 6th generation owners that promote the traditional way of organic olive oil production – the olive oil is stone milled and cold pressed. We will be guided around their premises and have an olive-oil tasting. Continuing our exploration through a verdant landscape with orange and olive groves, we will visit a quaint winery, the realization of a lifelong dream of a Greek-American owner, who was born and raised in this small village. Escorted by an expert, you will be navigated around the grounds and then taste their excellent wines. Driving along the foothills of the White Mountains, we will enjoy a delicious Cretan meal, a family run tavern that enjoys a great setting before the return journey to your hotel in the late afternoon.
Do not miss eating in one of the many restaurants offering Cretan specialties.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a mess this company is. After booking through Viator, I had to then make an international call to book again, per their policy. Then I received an email confirmation for the wrong time. Then, I had to cancel this service because United Airlines told us to come back to the airport to meet our delayed luggage on the flight it was on, instead of going to the port, via this company. I called, and emailed, more than once, cancelling the service, well within 24 hours. Then our driver showed up anyway. A woman then called and was very rude, even after I explained I had cancelled the service. Then, we were charged for the service anyway. We were charged $70.00!! For no service!! We used several amazing transfer services on this trip, and all returned emails immediately, were available via text, and were easy to communicate with, even working with us when our flight was delayed. Use Uber before this company. They provide nothing more than a Taxi, especially regarding communication, and will rip you off.
