★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This Italian restaurant in Plaka is a real asset to the village. The restaurant is run by Italians and the wines also come from the country. Una Faccia Una Razza sits next to the supermarket of Plaka and is not open every day of the week, so check in advance if you want to go and eat there. If possible reserve, because it can get busy. The lovers of pizza and pastas have come to the right place here. The food is very tasty and the service is excellent en very friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After reading all the positive opinions and good notes this restaurant turned out to be very disappointing. We were waiting 1 hour for just a starter and then after 20 minutes we asked how much longer do we have to wait for our main dishes. We were being told that it will take 5 minutes. Indeed it was 5 minutes but the food wasn't so hot as we think it should be. The prices isn't so attractive either considering the size of the dishes in comparison to all the greek restaurants which are situated nearby in Plaka.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic fresh home made food, authentic Italian, in a delightful and intimate setting. A good selection on the menu and the quality of the food would be at home in major cities around the world. One of the best Italians I have visited anywhere.
The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable and the service is personal, attentive but not intruding. Highly recommended for your visit to Plaka or Crete more generally.
(Extra bonus - unlike the main square you are not bothered by the cats!).

This restaurant doesn't have this problem. And pizza is also real Italian pizza. Plus, kids that are serving are very polite, and helpful.
Initially, I wasn't in the mood to go to Italian restaurant on Crete, considering all that great local food and restaurant offers, but now I'm not sorry we went.
