Εκεί σώζεται μια από τις δύο πύλες των τειχών του αρχαίου Πειραιά, από όπου ξεκινούσε ο δρόμος για την Αθήνα. Στον χώρο υλοποιούνται εκπαιδευτικά προγράμματα για μαθητές σχολείων. Λόγω έλλειψης φυλάκων, είναι επισκέψιμος μόνο κατόπιν συνεννόησης για οργανωμένες επισκέψεις. Η έκθεση "Στην επιφάνεια" που στεγάζεται στο κτίριο της Ξυλαποθήκης, στον ίδιο χώρο, είναι επισκέψιμη, με δωρεάν είσοδο.
The site of the Urban Gates is one of the most interesting archaeological sites in Attica. There one of the two gates of the walls of ancient Piraeus survives, from where the road to Athens began. Educational programs for school students are being implemented in the area. Due to the lack of guards, it is accessible only upon arrangement for organized visits. The "On the Surface" exhibit housed in the Xylapotheke building, on the same site, is accessible, with free admission.
