★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent stay at Villa Italiana. Lovely, clean rooms, with air-con when we needed it, set in wonderful mediterranean gardens. Just a short stroll from a good beach and tavernas. We also recommend Roza's food, it was so huge and delicious, it fed our family of four for 3 meals. I also loved the traditional Cretan breakfast Roza served us.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tiny appartment, no space to put your luggage, toilet is broken, no hot water, hardly any WiFi nor 4G kitchen poorly equiped, dogs barking all night, promised for 5 people but actually only fit for 4. No central heating, only AC in the tiny living room. Quite a disappointment for us travelling with 3 adults and 2 children aged 7. Landlady was friendly but issues should have been handled beforehand and property should have been described as is.
After our complaint the landlady agreed to only charge the one night (of originally 4) we actually stayed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is fantastic. The studio rooms are modern and fully equipped including excellent WiFi. The bed was great. The garden is a work art that has been done with years of love. The host is charming and very helpful. She offers a very good (and large) breakfast for 6 Euros. The villa is a short walk to the public beach in Amoudara.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Positive: Location and ease of access. Negative: Cleanliness . We had to ask for the place to be cleaned on arrival . No cleaning stuff supplied so that we could keep the place clean either . Accommodation in need of some serious updating Good customer service would make up for that however that was also inexistent . Disappointed ..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rosa’s place is very special, just like her. The entire garden was built by hand and features the most incredible stone mosaics. We stayed for four nights and would have happily stayed longer. Villa Italiana is tucked away but close to everything. The vibe is very relaxed but Rosa is always there if you need anything (she even gave me some of the giant basil from her garden for my pesto). Would love to visit again, grazie mille Rosa x
