Super unhelpful staff. Got told that what their website says is not something that she is aware off. Scam.

You can get a prepaid SIM card during your stay at the Vodafone store in Fira. I got 1GB prepaid package for 19€ for a 10 days stay in Greece. I have used 40MB after only 1 day (I used it only for Google map and other basic browsing). There was also a package around 26€ for 2GB and another special promo 6GB+100min calls for ~38€. The sales rep might try to convince you to get the bigger package, but it's better that you go according your data consumption. They will help you activate a new Greek number and will require a copy of your passport. Don't be in a hurry when you do the activation process, it took me a good 20mins. Also, they only accept cash for prepaid sim cards. According to the research on the net, Vodafone is the middle range between Cosmote and Wind. In some remote parts of Santorini (ex. There was no connection at some places on the hiking path between first and oia). Otherwise, you can also rely on the wifi in the touristic places in town. Most of them are free at the business location.

One girl staff cheated me. first, I asked her can I use turkey's Simcard in Greece, and she said it has different system with Greek simcard, so I cant use that in Greece. but its lie. absolutely I can use. second, anyway she insisted like that, I bought sim card from her. after I saw my phone was 3G. so I went back vodafone and asked to her isnt it offered 4G. she said its just region's problem, It will be okay when I will be arrived in Athens. and still it was 3G. I visited Vodafone in athens. and they said It can connect only 3G she is really trash human.

The staff was not helpful at all. It seems they are doing a favor to just answer the questions. One of the worst experiences I had ever had. Not the kind of service I was expecting from Vodafone

Go anywhere else. Or use carrier pigeons. Or smoke signals. But don’t buy a SIM card here. They actively hate helping you or answering questions. And eventually just told us to go to another store if we didn’t like it. When we showed them what it said the price was on their website they told us it wasn’t true. Pretty sure we got scammed. And even if we were, they could have at least been nice about it.

I have been here in and I’ve purchased a SIM while touring. Contrary to so many poor reviews, I actually had a good experience and they were helpful and the whole process was seamless. I would mention as a tip to others, it closes most days from 1 pm-4pm.
