★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pe drumul care duce din sătucul Omala către mănăstire (la sensul giratoriu), putem admira unul dintre bătrânii platani care o înconjoară și o veche fântână. Legenda spune că Sfântul Gherasim din Kefalonia (racla cu moaștele sale odihnesc la mănăstire) obișnuia să planteze platani și să sape fântâni în jurul mănăstirii "Noul Ierusalim" pe care o ctitorise. Se zice că platanul și fântâna sunt chiar de pe vremea Sfântului.
On the road that leads from the village of Omala to the monastery (at the roundabout), we can admire one of the old plantains surrounding it and an old fountain. The legend says that Saint Gehrasim of Kefalonia (the relic with his relics resting at the monastery) used to plant platanes and dig fountains around the "New Jerusalem" monastery he had built. It is said that the platter and fountain are from the time of the Saint.
