First morning back and already I am relaxed. Greeted as one of the family on arrival. 10 days of being spoilt, sunshine and swimming.

Staff are rude and hotel is dirty,ripped towels are given and rooms are disgusting,this hotel is definitely lieing by saying they are a 3 star hotel by far the worst hotel ive been to.

An amazing place to stay, Dimitri and Natasha are excellent hosts and very welcoming, highly recommend staying here with your family, close to the beach and all shops

Lovely place to stay. Just 10 mins walk away from the main town of stalis. Usual Greek hospitality, very friendly. Although very basic amenities, has aircon and TV. Place to eat and drink. Would go back again.

Very Upset! I booked my stay at Amazones Villas Apartments through JET2 holidays, I did know that I was not booking a five star hotel but please believe me when I say that these apartments are not as described, and in addition I struggle to believe the other reviews on here which make the apartments sound excellent, although I accept we all have different standards! We were looking for a little holiday atmosphere so thought that with the Jet 2 description of regular evening entertainment etc and all the excellent reviews on trip advisor that we would be well catered for. We arrived fairly late around 11.30, we were met by dimitris, who was initially very helpful, helped us with our cases and then said that as my youngest son was asleep we could come in the morning check in, when we got in our room my youngest son woke up, so we decided to go to have a drink and something to eat as we were hungry etc. I gave all the required info and then Dimitri advised that if we were hungry he would make us something, this was kind of him, but I got the feeling straight away that he could tell I was dis-appointed with what I had seen so far and reminded me that I was in a 3 star accommodation, (I think he was trying to set my expectations from the outset). We woke the next day to find the apartment was very very basic, the bed settee in the front room was ripped with a sheet put over it, and other chair covers were also ripped, the view from the balcony was of another apartment block, and we had a very cheap piece of plastic netting over the balcony which was supposed to be for child safety? Breakfast was very poor, it was boiled eggs, a couple of cereal options, poor quality ham cut into triangles and tasteless cheese, plus left over salad and melon from the night before, bread and jam. After breakfast we went to have a look at the pool area, all I can say is he photographer is excellent as it is nothing like it looks in the professional pictures and if I knew who he was I would get him to do some pictures of me (ha/ha). That said I did know the pool was going to be small, but it was described as having a pool bar, and whilst there was one there it was not manned or stocked, all of the sunbeds were old and some broken and the music was from the 1980's (yes I do like the 80's music but this was all the depressing stuff like 'Toy Soldiers' etc, also the pool felt very greasy I presume from sun cream etc so did not feel god about my boys being in it, but there was not much else to do which I will get on to later. Next came our first evening meal, given the Jet2 brochure says small restaurant that is what we were expecting, in reality it was a number of old tables and chairs outside the reception area, the tables were under some very low trees (which granted were beautiful) but leaves were constantly dropping off them and they were full of crickets, so not the best place to eat. Our first meal was stuffed tomatoes and Greek salad to start and then mutton with lots of bone and a scoop of mashed potato soaked in a well of oil, the sweet was a plate of water melon, apart from the melon and the odd try of the mutton, non of my boys would eat it and I also struggled, we therefore paid for a meal later on that night, we then returned for the evening entertainment only to find it was non existent, the second day was much the same, I ended up in tears as I had been so excited, I meet others who were also very upset especially by the food and I just wanted to go home. On one occasion I heard Dimitris the owner in a heated conversation about how is business was at risk, this I something as a holiday maker I do not want to hear this is supposed to be my holiday (hello)? Stalis has a very lovely beach, which to get to the best bit is about a 10-15 minute walk, at night there are lovely places to eat, but if you have children and are looking for something for them to do at night there is nothing at all and if you do find the odd baby type ride it will be broken.

We were made extremely welcome as soon as we arrived. The place was spotless. It is a family run apartments and the cannot do enough for you. We didn't see our rep but wasn't a problem as Natasha booked a tour for us, which ended up saving us money. Billy the barman is always cheerful and helpful. Would recommend to amyone

What a amazing place this is. It was our first at this hotel and will certainly be going back again. The family work so hard to give you the very best holiday and nothing is too much for them. You are also guaranteed a great welcome and a excellent service from the whole team. The hotel is in great location two minutes from the beach.
