Antilia Rent a Car - PEO Kissamou Chanion 324

My wife and me rented a car for one day to make a trip to Elafonissi Beach. We paid 55€ for a peugeot 307 cabrio and we paid 100€ as security if something happens. Everything seemed ok until that point. We took the car and started our journey. After a few minutes we recognized a lot of defects inside of the car. The gear was loose and often got stuck by going up one gear. Even the door panelling on the right side was loose. The aircondition on the right side was blowing out hard foam from the inside. The cover of the right airbag was torn and did not looked safe at all. I've never drove a car in such a bad state. On the highway we recognized a very very disconcerning sound when we went faster than 90km/h. So we preferred to drive slower than 90 km/h. (this model usually goes way faster than 90km/h) Back from our trip we stopped at the nearest gas station to fill up the gas tank before we bring it back. We told the employee of the gas station to fill it up to the max. I watched her doing it and she filled it up until the last drops. We recognized that the needle didn't changed at all. A few minutes later we arrived at the car rent and told the old man that the needle did not change at all but we filled it up. The only thing he was able to say in english was "tank not full, there is a gas station in this direction 1km". I have told him that we did that and we wont drive to the gas station again, because that would waste gas that we would need to pay for. He called the polite lady who made the contract with us. She told us the employee of the gas station made a mistake but did not even give us time to answer. They spoke a minute in greek so we could not understand anything.The old man gave us our 100€ back, because i already got angry and we think the lady told him to do that. I even offered him several times to go with us to the tank station and check everything but i think he could not understand it or did not listen carefully. We drove approximately 120km and filled about 9 litre in the tank - so even the calculation of the amount which the employee filled in was correct. We calculated it to be sure that there has no mistake been made at the gas station. To anyone who reads this. This car rent is not serious at all. The car was in a totally bad state (it was even one of the more expensive cars). The service was bad too. The lady had no further informations to the cars. Not even the model. For her it is a peugeot cabrio. Don't even try to ask for horsepower or something else. So in conclusion DO NOT RENT A CAR THERE!! NEVER!!! There are several other car rents with same prices and cars which are in a way better state. To the lady who rent us the car and seemed to be the owner of this car rent: We stay here until 19th of july. You have the chance to explain this and if you got a good explanation I'm going to remove this review. Cheers, George

The small car we rented was ok, but price 80euro per day + insurance is crazy :-( . It is great business now on Creete island -> , the new car costs 13k , rent car for one week costs 650, after aprox 20 weeks / rents the car is fully paid back …

We rented a Suzuki Jimmy and it was in very poor condition, the brakes hardly worked, and the transmission made strange noises. We went back after a few kilometers of driving, it was scary to go to the mountains.The lady in the rental shop refused to return the money, but we threatened to call the police. We have never been rented such a car in any country, it was suitable for scrap, it was a threat to us and others on the road. Be warned, do not rent !!

What happened was unbelievable: I booked and prepaid a car well in advance and when I arrived to pick up the car they told me that the car was not there. They didn't know where it was, so the guy started calling other branches, with no results. The ghost car. He also tried to tell me that maybe it was stolen, and when I asked him where is the KEY, they told me that maybe the thief stole the key too. They didn't help in any way and left me without car... Avoid these company at any cost!!!

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SERVICE I am posting this review on behalf of my friend Ludvic who got very bad experience using Rent a Car Antilia services: I rented a car from Antilia Rent A Car at Agia Marina Chania, Crete, between the 19th till the 20th September 2021. The service we were offered was terrible for the following reasons: 1.I paid 225 Eur for 2 days and 3 hours (insurance included) for a very old Suzuki Swift full of dents. There were almost 20 dents on the car. When I told the salesman whether I could deliver it at Chania Airport and where I should leave the key he told me that I had to deliver the car at the showroom and that they would drive us to the airport at an extra charge of 35 Eur. He insisted on paying the full amount upfront. I complied so I paid 260 Eur. 2.I paid the amount of 260 Eur the day before I collected the car which was very dirty. I presumed it was going to be delivered clean. 3.When I started driving, I realised that the driver’s sunscreen was not there. Then I found out it was next to the spare wheel. When I tried to fix it I realised it was damaged so I had to cover the sun rays with my hand whilst driving. 4.On the first day whilst driving the car I damaged the rim of the wheel which I changed myself because I was not told that they had a towing service. When the day after I informed Antilia where to go replace the spare wheel, they sent me to someone 4 kilometres away from their showroom. When I arrived I was told that I had to pay for the total costs even though I showed them the rental agreement that I was fully insured. They called Antilia and complied however I was told that they had instructions to change the tyre (not the rim) for a second-hand one. They told me that the company never replaces damaged tyres with new ones. 5.When the day of departure arrived and went to the office so that they transfer us to the airport as promised I found the office closed. I waited for 20 minutes but no one turned up. I called the offices but no one answered. The day before I reminded the salesman who assured me not to worry and that there will always be someone to take us to the airport. 6.When I waited to no avail I had no other option but to call a taxi and incurred an additional cost of 70 Eur. Myself together with my wife and three children were very upset because we could have missed the flight. 7.I would like to bring this unfortunate situation to the kind attention of Cretan tourism authorities and I advise tourists to NOT USE the services of Antilia.

We rented a car from this agency. I liked everything very much. Despite the lunch break from 1 to 5, the manager personally came and formalized the lease. Very pleasant and customer-oriented. Several offices around the island. it is convenient to return a car near your hotel. Highly recommend!)

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!! We wanted to go to Balos so rented a Suzuki Jimny for the day. We received the car at around 12pm, we paid 75euro (including insurance) and had to return the car by 8pm. The back of the car didn't zip up so wasn't secured and therefore we couldn't leave anything in the car. The inside of the passanger door didn't have a door handle and therefore could only be opened by undoing the window and opening from the outside. The radio didn't work. The gears and handling of the car were also unsteady and we didn't feel safe driving the vehicle. So we returned the car back to the shop at around 2:30pm. The store was closed so we parked the car outside the shop. We then returned around 6pm and told the store about our experience, they asked why we didn't come back immediately and get a replacement. We explained we did come back early but the shop was closed. The main concern we had was the safety of the car. We explained this to the store because this car should not be on the road. Its not acceptable to rent this out its a hazard to all. They did not care about safety in the slightest and basically shrugged it off. I would never rent from here again.

Best value for money cars !!! Despite some valuations with complains , i rent two different cars and the were very clean and safe to drive !!! I highly recommend Renault Clio diesel or automatic and all cabriolets for sights see at Chania city . Friendly service by the staff !
