Celle-ci fût transporté à Constantinople quand le christianisme est devenu religion d'état et l''hellénisme prohibé. La statue géante a très certainement été fondue pour récupérer l'or. Il ne reste plus grand-chose de ce piédestal. Stone base that supported a huge statue of the goddess Athena on the Acropolis. This was transported to Constantinople when Christianity became the state religion and Hellenism prohibited. The giant statue was most certainly melted down to recover the gold. There isn't much left of this pedestal.
