Ο Βιτρούβιος αναφέρεται σε αυτή μιλώντας γενικά για τη λειτουργία των στοών που ανεγείρονταν κοντά σε θέατρα και χρησίμευαν ως καταφύγιο των θεατών στις δύσκολες καιρικές συνθήκες ή ως αποθηκευτικοί χώροι για τα σκηνικά του θεάτρου.
The ruins of the Stoa of Eumenes on the South Slope of the Acropolis extend in the area between the Theater of Dionysus and the Herodion. The gallery was donated to the city of Athens by the king of Pergamon, Eumenes II (197-159 BC), around 160 BC Vitruvius refers to it, talking in general about the operation of the galleries that were erected near theaters and served as a shelter for spectators in difficult weather conditions or as storage spaces for the theater sets.

Eumenes 'Stoa was a Hellenistic colonnade built on the southern slope of the Acropolis in Athens and lying between the Theater of Dionysus and Herod Atticus' Odeon. The gallery was donated to the city of Athens by the king of Pergamum, Eumenes II (197-159 BC), about 160 BC. Vitruvius refers to the building, referring to the purpose of the stands erected near theaters, which served as a shelter for spectators in adverse weather conditions or storage for theatrical props.
