The actual desk/reception is inside the Arrivals Terminal, at the same counter as Avis. Be mindful of the opening-closing times, as you will most likely not be tended to. Initially, walked almost 1Km from the airport, to an older address. The guys at the older location were kind enough to offer me some water and drive me back to the airport. Thanks for the kind welcoming! Maps location update/edit submitted.

They refused to give me the booked and confirmed and prepaid car, arguing, that they have no clean available. The clerk offered instead a BMW for 320 eur (instead the eur 90 which has been confirmed). I had then to rent a car at another rental company and do a complaint and demand my prepayment back. Do not trust budget Santorin and rent your car at other companies!

I hate leaving bad reviews and I never usually do, but my experience with Budget Rent a Car in Santorini has been very frustrating. After leaving the car in perfect conditions and with full tank and being told all was good I returned home just to find an unauthorized charge on my credit card. I have been emailing Budget Car Rental Greece Support for 2 weeks and did not receive any reply, got totally ignored. Hope this review will cost them more business than what they stole from me.

Trust the negative reviews below! Staff rude and very unprofessional. I had booked a car from 2pm, our ferry was delayed and I arrived at 3pm, which I thought would not be an issue. When I arrived, no one was at the counter. I waited ONE WHOLE HOUR for the employee to arrive. During this time, all other car rental companies (hertz, etc) had someone at the counter. You would think the guy would apologize? NEVER! He instead blamed me for being late and he was borderline aggressive. So unprofessional, rude attitude and not customer-centric! I was shocked. Then when I went to pick the car, I had to come back at the counter because they had parked a car right in front of it. Again, no apology whatsoever. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY! Pick any other at the airport, as they all seemed much friendlier and reliable.

Hi there, nothing wrong with the rental we had. But the hold is still on my credit card. Rental documents number 80922466-2 . Can you please remove the amount held asap as it has been approximately 4 weeks since we returned the car , thanks.

I rent a Toyota AYGO or RYGO or PEGEOUT 108 Athens or in Santorini. These cars are very small and nice with camera in the back. The car you can only fit a big 50 lbs luggage and one regular backpack on the site. Other luggages small carry on fit in top of your legs on in the middle of both passengers in the back. I hope this helps everyone

Where to begin. We arrived in Santorini on 20 August at 1305. Given the COVID situation I reserved my car for 1600 to allow time for customs, COVID processes, including testing and baggage. We surprisingly sped through all of this and arrived at the Budget counter around 1345. I assumed that our car would not be ready, but I went to the booth to inquire for more information. There was no one in sight for Budget, it was a ghost town. Hertz (which was right next door) had three workers crammed in their tiny booth like sardines with nice yellow polos and were handing off car keys like it was Christmas. I called Budget and they explained that no one was there due to there being no reservations, which was fine with me and made sense. They said they would send someone over. So now an older gentleman shows up very abrupt and short on words and seemed to be annoyed by my presence. He then proceeded to tell me “there is no car”. I asked if it was okay to return for my scheduled reservation at 1600 and if he would have a car, to which he replied “At 1600? Maybe.” So we took a taxi to my lovely beach house and I returned at 1600 to the same guy who said the car was not ready. He then asked if I was able to drive a manual (I specifically requested an automatic for a reason my guy) to which I said no and he said well it’ll be 20 minutes. He then disappeared from the booth like Houdini himself and 30 minutes later a new man appeared but the customer service I can assure you was identical. He tried my credit card for an outlandish €380 deposit (in case no one tells you, all rentals have a huge deposit that’s not included in the price until you get to the counter). My credit card did not work and he tried my debit twice to no avail. Now I’m no Bill Gates but I had the funds for all hiccups on this trip so I called my bank to which they assured me through Visa that nothing was wrong with my cards. After getting off the phone with the bank, I turned my attention back to the booth that was now empty again as the second act of this magic trick was well under way. I looked over at the Hertz booth next door and the keys again were flying out like wizards from Hogwartz. In 10 minutes I cancelled my car with Budget and booked a new car for the remainder of my trips through Hertz and never batted an eye since. So the moral of the story is this, if you want a car book with Hertz. If you want a side show of riddles and disappearing acts (dinner not included), choose Budget.

We arrived 30m late due to delays at passport control. When I said ‘hello’ the person at the desk simply said, ‘You’re late’. When I explained why he said, ‘I don’t know why you’re late but you’re late’. The car was tatty and the low tyre pressure warning light was on when we took the car. I’m not sure why I paid more to use Budget. We were told to return the car key to the desk, or leave in the key safe but when we arrived back at the airport we were approached by someone who said he would take the key (he was adamant); he had a Budget polo shirt on but no ID and no way to give us a receipt for the return. It was a poor experience literally from start to finish.
