Το φυσικό κάλλος όμως παραμένει αναλλοίωτο και η ιστορική σημασία τεράστια. Beautiful spot, with panoramic views in very good condition. The works have unfortunately stopped and the area is a little spotted. But the natural beauty remains unchanged and the historical significance is enormous.

Το Παλαιό Γυναικόκαστρο συνδέεται με ασφαλτοστρωμένο δρόμο και έχει τακτική συγκοινωνία με το Κιλκίς και τη Θεσσαλονίκη. Το 1922 ο πληθυσμός ήταν 800 κάτοικοι ενώ σήμερα δεν υπερβαίνουν τους 600, εκ των οποίων μόλις οι 200 είναι μόνιμοι κάτοικοι. Ο υπόλοιπος πληθυσμός μετανάστευσε σταδιακά στο Κιλκίς και τη Θεσσαλονίκη. Η κύρια απασχόληση των κατοίκων είναι η γεωργοκτηνοτροφία. The Old Women's Castle is located 15 km southwest of Kilkis, 45 km from Thessaloniki and 19 km from Polykastro and belongs to the municipality of Kilkis. The Old Woman's Castle is connected by an asphalt road and has regular transport to Kilkis and Thessaloniki. In 1922 the population was 800 inhabitants and today it does not exceed 600, of which only 200 are permanent residents. The rest of the population gradually migrated in Kilkis and Thessaloniki. The main occupation of the residents are farmers.

Και από την άλλη θαμενα 1 600 000€ των φορολογουμενων για 3 κάδους, πανγακια και 5 προβολής με κατανάλωση 400W.... Very nice view and place to understand that Great are the works of God! And on the other hand, € 1,600,000 of taxpayers for 3 bucks, scouts and 5 projectors with a consumption of 400W ....

Πλατάνια και πράσινο κάτω από το επιβλητικό κάστρο που δεσπόζει στην κορυφή. Εξαιρετική παρουσία του Ματθαίου Τσαχουρίδη αλλά και των χορευτικών συγκροτημάτων του Χωρυγίου και του Χορονού!! Great place where the local club organizes Gynecology with great success every year !! Trees and green beneath the imposing castle that dominates the top. Exceptional presence of Matthaios Tsachouridis and the Chorigion and Choron dance groups !!

A	Anton Radulescu on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An impressive military fortresses, built on top of a hill, overseeing the valleys north of f Thessaloniki. The top part is really nicely preserved, giving a good insight on how it must have looked back then. It's easy to enter the tower, but please don't since the ladder left by the archeologist is very rusty. A great place for a daily excursion.
