★ ★ ★ ★ ★ WARNING.
Do not book with this company (“Caravel - rent a car” in Crete). I promise you will regret it. All the previous reviews are so accurate and my only regret is that I didn’t have an internet connection when booking so I couldn’t check them.
The night before (at 21:00PM) they called to say that they don’t have the car that we booked and that we can either just cancel (we already made plans) or pay a lot more for another car that we didn’t want.
When we said that we would complain, the representative said that management doesn’t care.
@google should remove this business from the internet.
DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Another company cancelled our reservation on the very last second and I contacted Caravel on whatsapp. They responded very fast, we booked a medium size car for 5 days, they picked us up from airport, delivery was quite easy. On the second day, I wanted to change the car and they helped us in a couple of hours. I am a bit surprised about negative comments here, we were completely happy with the rental.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The driver/operator dealing with us were very professional and we trusted him very quickly. The car was properly maintained and allowed us to travel without problem. We followed the advice on which car to get as per our destinations and not being familiar with Greek roads. Thank you all there!

2. They tried to add extra cost for insurance or as an alternative get a deposit $1800
3. They do not accept credit cards, at least the second manager
4. My reserved car was not there, but they insisted on another car
I managed to take my prepayment back, but wasted my time
This is the anti-customer culture. Stay away!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst experience! The prices on the flyers are nonsense, the offered price was 3 times higher. The next day when we came to pick up the car, we were informed that we need to buy an additional insurance for 30€/day to be able to rent the car. That‘s an additional >40% increase on the offered price. We cancelled and got the reservation fee refunded

NEVER NEVER NEVER rent a car here!
I wonder how they are still open in Hersonissos!
They give you a price with FULL insurance which they tell you will cover ALL damages, next day they give you completely DIFFERENT price for so called “full insurance”.
Promised to provide a car to out hotel at 7:30. As a result, we picked it ourselves at 10:00, because they never did it!
Worst service, old and damaged cars, unfriendly staff - liars and cheaters!!
