★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die Taverne liegt wunderbar. Die Reste der Basilika sind nun (Mai 2022) abgedeckt und rundum mit einem Zaun Gesichert. Vielleicht besser so für das Denkmal - für Besucher leider nicht.
The tavern is wonderful. The remains of the basilica are now (May 2022) covered and secured with a fence all around. Maybe better for the monument - unfortunately not for visitors.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quite amazing to find an early Christian basilica, just lying there. No attempt at all to publicise it (or make money from it!) It is partly destroyed, of course, not surprising given its great age. To find it, take the path to the left immediately after the Kanali Taverna, and it is only a 50-yard walk. Unfortunately, it was fenced off when I visited, so I couldn't examine it up close.
