N	Nils Schnabel on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tolle Sehenswürdigkeit, leider anscheinend seit der letzten Ausbaustufe (ca. 2006) sich selbst überlassen. Der Weg nach oben von Karavoustasi war einmal befestigt, die früher einmal existierenden Holzstufen sind aber leider dem Zahn der Zeit zum Opfer gefallen und größtenteils stehen nur noch die Eisenstangen, durch die sie früher fixiert wurden. Dementsprechend geschieht die Benutzung des Fußwegs von Karavoustasi laut einem kleinen Schild am unteren Ende auf eigene Gefahr. Es müssen zwei Törchen oben und unten entriegelt werden, was aber kein Problem ist. Alternativ kann die Stätte von der Rückseite des Bergs erreicht werden, wo eine gut ausgebaute Straße bis in die Nähe führt, auf diesem Weg ist der restliche Fußweg auch für weniger ausdauernde Besucher machbar. Auch hier ist ein großes Tor zu entriegeln, das aber ebenfalls nicht abgeschlossen ist. Die erklärenden Schilder auf dem Berg sind leider auch bis ins unleserliche ausgeblichen. Die beweglichen Fundstücke sind im archäologischen Museum Igoumenitsa ausgestellt. Great sight, unfortunately apparently left to its own devices since the last expansion stage (around 2006). The way up from Karavoustasi was once paved, but the wooden steps that once existed have unfortunately fallen victim to the ravages of time and for the most part only the iron bars that were used to fix them are still standing. Accordingly, the use of the Karavoustasi footpath is at your own risk, according to a small sign at the lower end. Two gates at the top and bottom have to be unlocked, but this is not a problem. Alternatively, the site can be reached from the back of the mountain, where a well-developed road leads to the vicinity, on this path the rest of the footpath is also feasible for less stamina visitors. Here, too, a large gate can be unlocked, but it is also not locked. The explanatory signs on the mountain are unfortunately faded to the point of being illegible. The movable finds are exhibited in the Igoumenitsa Archaeological Museum.
S	Sabrina B on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Man hat eine grandiose Aussicht über das Meer, allerdings ist der Aufstieg zu Fuß sehr anstrengend aber schattig durch den Wald. Es geht steil bergauf über viele Steine. Gute Schuhe sind empfehlenswert! Möchte man hinunter nicht den gleichen Weg gehen, auf jeden Fall die Asphaltstraße zurück nehmen. (Bis zum Ende der Ausgrabung über den Berg laufen, dann beim Haupteingang nach unten. Erreicht man eine Kreuzung den Weg nach links etwas bergauf wählen) Geht man nämlich nach rechts bergab und folgt dem Schotterweg erreicht man nach ca. 1km einen verschlossenen Zaun, der die Straße versperrt. Dann darf man nochmal 1km dem Berg hoch zurück laufen. Man kann auch über die Asphaltstraße nach oben mit dem Auto fahren, bis fast zur Ausgrabung. Das letzte Stück muss man dann aber doch zu Fuß gehen. You have a magnificent view over the sea, but the ascent on foot is very strenuous but shady through the forest. It goes steeply uphill over many stones. Good shoes are recommended! If you don't want to go down the same way, definitely take the asphalt road back. (Walk over the mountain to the end of the excavation, then down at the main entrance. When you reach a crossroads, take the path uphill to the left blocked the road. Then you can walk back 1km up the mountain. You can also drive up the asphalt road by car, almost to the excavation. But then you have to walk the last part.
