B	Björn Bruckmann on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ein traumhafter aber anstrengender Aufstieg vom Limni Boutoumou (Lake Zaros) durch die Rouvas Schlucht. Die Natur von Ihrer schönsten Seite. Für ungeübte Wanderer wie uns braucht der Aufstieg ca. 3 Stunden und der Abstieg ca. 2 Stunden. Ausreichend Wasser sollte dabei sein. Die Flaschen kann man dann am Ziel mit frischem Quellwasser wieder auffüllen. Es hat sich aber in jedem Fall gelohnt. Wir wurden durch ein unbeschreibliches Panorama und viele schöne Bilder belohnt. A fantastic but exhausting ascent from the Limni Boutoumou (Lake Zaros) through the Rouvas gorge. Nature at its best. For inexperienced hikers like us the ascent needs about 3 hours and the descent about 2 hours. Sufficient water should be there. The bottles can then be replenished at the destination with fresh spring water. But it was worth it in any case. We were rewarded by an indescribable panorama and many beautiful pictures.

A	A. Wanke on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Das Ziel der Wanderung von Zaros durch die Rouvas Schlucht. Ein schöner Ort mit eben der Kirche und einer Quelle an der man sein Trinkwasser nachfüllen kann. Am Wochenende ist es hier voll, die Einheimischen sind mit ihren Geländewagen da und grillen Schafe. Wer fit ist und auf Kreta wandern will, kommt an diesem Highlight kaum vorbei - Urlaub für die Seele. The destination of the hike from Zaros through the Rouvas gorge. A beautiful place with the church and a spring where you can refill your drinking water. At the weekend it is full here, the locals are there with their SUVs and grill sheep. If you are fit and want to hike in Crete, you can hardly avoid this highlight - a holiday for the soul.

B	Ben Potter on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very tough walk from Zaros (allow 5 hours return) but stunning views along the way. Bring plenty of water. There is a picnic area below the church and you can also refill your water there.
E	Expendable Gr on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A small church with an extra room in the other side of the building Right in the heart of the forest , 10 meters from the church there's a river that runs almost the whole year except some months in the Summer, the Forest is filled with platanus trees and alot of tables to sit down and have a coffee or some food.
