Zuerst der grosse Zugang zum Canyon, dann die starke Verengung des Flusslaufs mit Holzbrücken und verzweigten Wegen und anschliessend der traumhafte, schattige Wald von Rouvas mit absoluter Stille und Lauten der Ziegen im Hintergrund. Eine Schafherde kreuzte meinen weg und trank aus dem kargen Flusslauf, auch eine verwesende Ziege fand ich leider. Der anschliessende Piknik Platz mit Kabelle lädt zum entspannen ein. Im Sommer geht man besser früh da die Schlucht bis 9 Uhr angenehm schattig bleibt. TIPP für Leute die gerne ausserhalb der Markierungen laufen, man kann hier extrem genial Freeclimbing betreiben und sich eigene Wege suchen. Aber Achtung das Gestein ist zwar griffig aber EXTREM gefährlich, viele Steine sind zum Teil lose und das Gelände von Erdrutschen bedroht. One of the most beautiful gorges I've ever run. First the large access to the canyon, then the sharp narrowing of the river with wooden bridges and branched paths and then the dreamlike, shady forest of Rouvas with absolute silence and the sounds of goats in the background. A flock of sheep crossed mine and drank from the barren river, unfortunately I also found a rotting goat. The subsequent picnic area with cable invites you to relax. In summer it is better to go early because the gorge remains pleasantly shady until 9 a.m. TIP for people who like to run outside of the markings, you can do extremely great free climbing here and find your own way. But be careful, the rock is easy to grip but EXTREMELY dangerous, many stones are partly loose and the terrain is threatened by landslides.
Γ	Γιάννης Τσουμέτης on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ένα μέρος το οποίο πρέπει οπωσδήποτε να επισκεφθούν όσοι τους αρέσει η πεζοπορία στη φύση. Όχι τόσο το ίδιο το δάσος όσο ολόκληρη η διαδρομή μέσα στο φαράγγι είναι επική. Πολύ όμορφα φτιαγμένο και με σήμανση μονοπάτι. Ένα τοπίο διαφορετικό από τα συνηθισμένα τοπία της Κρήτης. Το μονοπάτι ξεκινάει είτε από τη λίμνη του Ζαρού είτε από τη Μονή του Αγίου Νικολάου. A place that should definitely be visited by those who like hiking in nature. Not so much the forest itself as the whole route through the gorge is epic. Very nicely made and marked path. A landscape different from the usual landscapes of Crete. The path starts either from the lake of Zaros or from the Monastery of Agios Nikolaos.
M	Maria Savvaki on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ξεκινώντας από την λίμνη του Ζαρου και διασχίζοντας το φαράγγι του Ρούβα, καταλήγει κάποιος σε αυτό το μοναδικής ομορφιάς Πρινοδασος!!!! Ένα πράγμα ησυχαστήριο!!!! Starting from the lake of Zaros and crossing the gorge of Rouvas, one ends up in this unique Prinodasos !!!! One thing sanctuary !!!!
Π	ΠΟΛΥΒΙΟΣ ΠΕΡΙΣΤΕΡΗΣ on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Όμορφο δάσος για περίπατο και ιδανικό για παιδιά αφού υπάρχει αρκετός χώρος για να τρέξουν και να παίξουν χωρίς πρόβλημα. Μεγάλο μείον οι κατασκηνωτες οι όποιοι είχαν απλωθεί σε μεγάλο μέρος (ακόμα και στον πίσω προαύλιο χώρο της εκκλησίας που υπάρχει στην είσοδο του φαραγγιού) με απομεινάρια φωτιάς διάσπαρτα σε όλη την περιοχή (κίνδυνος πυρκαγιάς). Beautiful forest for a walk and ideal for children as there is enough space to run and play without any problems. Large minus the campers who were spread out in a large part (even in the backyard of the church at the entrance of the gorge) with remnants of fire scattered throughout the area (risk of fire).
