b	brent kinder on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ easy to book, wonderful location, very center of everything you need to see. the rooms are small, but seriously, get out of your room and go walk around, you're in Greece! It's beautiful!!!!!
S	Sunny Knight on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hotel is as central as it gets and overlooks the Venetian Harbour, the prettiest sight in Rethymnon. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Our room was a mini suite and the balcony perched over the harbour. The best view in Rethymnon and not an expensive hotel. This room just a little more expensive but worth the cost.The access to the breakfast room and shared kitchen was a real bonus and enabled us to prepare a few snacks. The view from this room and the terrace on the roof was fantastic.
Z	Zena Schtyk on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a small, compact room, with a lovely balcony overlooking the sea, where we could watch the comings and goings of Rethymno, whilst drinking ouzo and the sun streamed into our room each morning. The en suite was tiny but adequate (I've known much smaller!). The housekeeping was excellent and the owners were friendly and helpful. Faros Beach Hotel is in a very convenient spot for the harbour, the old town and Fortezza Castle. It's not too far to walk to the beach (stopping on the way at one of the many bars for a cocktail) and the boat trips are on your doorstep. Some people have mentioned the noise, but we found if we closed the balcony doors and used the air conditioning we were not kept awake. If your kind of holiday is staying in an ultra modern hotel, sitting around a pool all day, missing the local sights, then this hotel is not for you, but if you want to stay in a lovely, clean hotel with character I would not hesitate to recommend.
M	Michael on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Location is absolutely amazing, maybe 10 minutes to the beach walking and just at the entrance to the city center and close to As there is a busy night life along the beach, could be fun for young people but also a bit loud during the night. Only downside is bathroom a bit small but in this price class it's definetly okay If you don't mind walking 10 minutes at the road behind the walls you can park for free at the road behind fortezza castle.
V	Valentina Tosounidou on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very old place. No one at the reception. A three star hotel has the requirement to have someone at the reception and serve breakfast. The rooms look nothing like the pictures. A bit disappointing. The only positive is the view and the great location. I don't mind staying in an old hotel usually but I feel like I've been ripped off since I was expecting something completely different from the pictures I saw.

The bed was terrible, very inconfortable and the blankets were dirty. Moreover, the attitude of the management was not appropriate: "you received what you payed for". The AC and the fridge were very noisy.

The a/c was facing straight to the bed(of course it was) and you can't keep all night at your head. Very expensive for that room. Except the location. It was downtown. I believe the other rooms with the windows facing the port ...will be better! Our room was terrible. Dont take the economy room.
