Forget me not Villas - Svoronata

We love it here! We treasure the time we have spent at this incredible villa. Just returned from our 2nd visit and had a relaxing week. The pool is beautiful. The kitchen well equipped. A sumptuous bbq area - but above all it was clean, fresh and luxurious. Joanne is so kind and she has built villas that she should be so proud of!

Wow where do we start?... at the beginning of course; from the first stage of booking the villa, Joanne was extremely helpful and responded promptly to every email, offering lots of advice and suggestions from the best place to hire a car (which we did) to the local mini market (5 mins away) and local tavernas. This was our first visit to Kefalonia, but it certainly won’t be our last to this wonderful island. We spent 2 weeks in June at Forget Me Not Villa No 2 and, I must admit, being based in Svoronata – not 5 mins drive from the airport, was the best luck we could have had. Forget Me Not are two stunning villas, down a short dirt track road (but don’t let that put you off) which opens up into 2 magnificent villas in fantastically landscaped gardens. Our first appearance was WOW! Views over to the airport and the sea beyond, you could even see the Island of Zante. This all made very interesting talking points, different airplanes landing and taking off, cruise ships, sailing boats , etc. Plenty to watch from the verandah, pool, or balconies. There is a lovely well set out BBQ area, superb pool (which everyone enjoyed tremendously), and fantastic verandah, which we used every night to sit and drink the excellent local rose wine (not to be missed) and watching the world go by…..slowly. The villas are very tastefully decorated and furnished, beds are the comfiest I’ve slept in when I’ve been away away from home and the villa is very well equipped with every home convenience you can think off. Joanne certainly hasn’t missed anything out, it really is like home from home The welcome pack was a wonderful surprise with lots of goodies; lovely gesture. Car Hire is definitely recommended, Joanne gave us helpful advice on this and also a recommendation of a very friendly local car hire company with no hidden extras (unlike most of the big rental companies). We met Joanne and her daughter Anna on several occasions, when they came to welcome us, and then to clean the villa and change linen, etc. Visited Joanne’s husband restaurant, Kyani Akti, in Argostoli and were made to feel extremely welcome. The food was delicious – with the added attraction of turtle spotting just under the restaurant pier We could go on about how fantastic this villa is, but you need to book and find out for yourselves.
