We spent 2 weeks in the island with a rental car from Simotas and I can highly recommend them ? we got a better car than agreed and the service is brilliant with pick up at the airport and recommendations for restaurants and tourists places. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're visiting Kefalonia and looking for a reliable car hire company look no further than Simotas. Having hired vehicles on countless occasions, from the US to the Middle East and across Europe, this small family company has by far been the best. The staff are unbelievably helpful and friendly (to the extent that Ifi helped my wife with another unrelated issue during our stay). Simotas does not ask for a deposit upfront and their vehicles are of a high standard. Ours, which we hired for 10 days, was brand new, clean and could not be faulted. The whole process was seamless and stress free from start to finish and I would highly recommend this company.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Honestly, I can’t say enough positive things about this company. They replied really quickly to emails with costs and types of cars. When we arrived at the airport they were waiting for us, and drove us up to their office, where they very kindly gave us cold drinks while we did all of the paperwork. The cars were great and the costs were very reasonable and transparent. Ifi and her sister were so friendly, gave us loads of advice about places to visit and even sent us messages with loads of recommendations. On our return, they were very informal about checking the cars - we hadn’t had any accidents or bumps anyway - and once again dropped us off at the airport. I would totally recommend them to anyone looking for cars on the island. The whole process was so smooth and they were all so lovely. Much better than officious and often expensive big hire companies. Thanks so much!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A wonderful and honest family owned rental company. Vagelis, Ifi and her sister have set an extremely high standard of service, that i doubt i will see anywhere else! My experience with them has been pleasant (first class!) from the moment I emailed them for a quote up to the day I returned the car. No hidden or additional cost. What they quoted me via email is what I paid for on the day pickup. Ifi is amazing to deal with. She picked me up at the airport and the car was there at the parking lot, already to go. Her and her sister had maps ready, recommendations on where to visit , road / driving conditions to k ow in advance, etc. The communication is fast - she is very responsive and caring. I had a minor hick up with the car. They examined it and didn't charge me for it, unlike other big box rental companies would.

They spent so much time giving us some valuable guidance on where to go in the island and lots of restaurant tips. The lovely ladies were so refreshing, and genuinely seemed so pleased to meet us and interested in us. The vehicle we hired was immaculate and lovely to drive. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a Panda for 17days. This car was good for two people. Kefalonia is big enough to explore and absolutely stunning. Everyday with a car is a better idea, because most roads are not good for walking even for short distance. Road condition is good but narrow and dark after sunset.
We got great, helpful advice and good price. Thank you so much and will come back to this beautiful island ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic service from this family business. Vagelis Simontas could not do enough for us. He replied to all our questions promptly and made sure we had the car we needed, at a good price. After a very early start to our holiday we were worried about driving a long way on Kephalonia’s very “scenic” roads, so he arranged a taxi for us and brought the car to us himself with a very useful proper map to keep. Don’t even go and look anywhere else; he is the best!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vagelis and his team are superb - so helpful and friendly. We had to reschedule twice (Medicane/COVID) and this was handled so professionally.
We took a huge Pakgo bike case with us and so needed to make sure it would fit in our rental vehicle. Simotas took the measurements and made sure we got the right vehicle.
Pick up and drop off were so easy - literally steps outside of the terminal building. The car was perfect and really fuel efficient.
Will definitely rent from Simotas when we return to Kefalonia.
