★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not a good experience at all. It started at the airport when they came to pick us up to take us to the car hire office when they asked for (UK) DVLA codes. These are not required as stated in the car hire rental booking agreement. At the office this then went on to demanding an Internal Driving Permit (due to Brexit he said) which again is not required from the UK either previously or now. A phone call to the UK car hire agent (Economy Car Hire) who were brilliant and sorted it all out. This didn't appear a misunderstanding at all and I am suspicious of just what the motives were.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best experience ever. We had a small car but a hotel in the mountains. The car engine was not streng enough so we called for a solution. They went 110% and without trouble did provide a car with a stronger motor. This is what brings light in shady car rental business.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As soon as we arrived, people at the counter were very nice and helpful. They guided us through the process and answered all the questions. They helped us find the right car and offered us better price than other companies (almost half the price). At the end we also got bigger car for the price of the small one.
10/10 would recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After a good experience in Athens, I rented a car by Auto Union Kefalonia. They are very friendly and helpful. Good communication. We got a new car and bigger then we asked for :-). Also a fast return en friendly service. Next time in Greece I will use Auto Union again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great car hire company that will pick you up and drop you off at the airport (the car hire place is just up the hill outside the airport - a 3-5 minute walk with luggage).
Clean new car, that was ideal for the island. They also don’t take a big deposit on your CC when hiring which is a bonus.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was our best car hire experience. Konstantina met us at the airport even though our flight had been delayed by over an hour. She took us to our car and drove us the short distance to the AutoUnion office. Chris then took us through the formalities in a frendly and relaxed manner then handed us the keys all in around 10 minutes. The holiday company had given us directions to our villa and we set off around 11pm.....however unbeknown to us the directions were incorrect and after around 10-15 mins of confusion we pulled over. Konstantina then pulled up alongside us and immediately offered to follow her all the way down to the main road to the resort. From there she gave clear directions and we arrived at our villa soon after. She didn't have to do this but clearly she wanted to help....what a great example of outstanding customer service. On our return Chris took us down to the terminal and helped us with our luggage. I would strongly recommend AutoUnion to anyone visiting Kefalonia.
