Futura Hotel - Epar.Od. Maleme-Roumaton

A really pretty place, with great rooms and food with reasonable prices. The hotel is a stone's throw from the beach and on a main through route to any number of other destinations. All amenities are close by and bus trips etc are frequent and very reasonably priced. We chose self catering but ate in a few times because the food was so nice. I was worried that our 12 yr old would be bored but the hotel receptionist won him round by greeting him with the wifi password upon arrival...the whole family have agreed we would happily go back to the same hotel again, but stay for longer next time. This hotel is not owned by a large faceless corporation, but rather a family and you will speak to and see the same faces every day. I wish I had more photographs as mine do not do the hotel justice. The rooms have oil paintings of the hotel complex inside, which reflects the aesthetic appeal of the place. The complex is not particularly large but it is built in the style of a traditional Greek village. There is dense flora all round - leafy and bright - lining the picturesque pathways and stairs that run off each other. It had me charmed from the outset. We were lucky to get a ground floor room with a large patio to dine on daily. The only observation I feel needs to be made, is that the hotel goes up by 3 stories in parts but does not have a lift. The layout/design would not support a lift in any way, this is no negative feature for myself as a lift would not sit well with the layout at all - but might be worth consideration for anyone booking with mobility issues...I would recommend contacting the hotel prior to booking, as mentioned this is a family concern and the staff will do their utmost to help resolve your query.

We went there in September 2019, willage is small and quiet, perfect for peacefull holiday. Hotel's exterior space looks homely, well maintained. Our room style was dated and a bit used but everything what we needed was there and in good working order. The food on our half board offer was outstanding- great choice for breakfast (big portions of delicious meals and great desserts for evening). Service fantastic. The crew is a big credit to this hotel (so friendly and chatty). We felt at home there. We would reccomend this hotel. Izabela35 and Lech36

Nice location, the pool was perfect for adults and kids. Had an amazing time with the bartenders Nicholas & George! Definitely would recommend to all of you! ❤️

Cannot fault the hotel at all. Staff very helpful and extremely accommodating. Everything you would need for a sun holiday. Only downfall is location. There is not many restaurants in Maleme and the beach is very stoney. There is a good supermarket close by and buses run frequently enough to get to Chania or other suburbs with greater anemities. If you wish to do exercusions to Elafasini the bus will collect you at front of hotel which is great!!

Stayed here on a budget holiday - was a great little apartment that me and my family stayed in. This was our base as we were out every day exploring in the mountains and beaches. Appreciated the room service everyday. Place was very clean! And all the staff were absolutely fabulous. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Lovely staff, food and kept very clean throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble a quiet relaxing resort but with plenty to offer if you seek it. We stayed in room 312 which was spacious and paid for breakfast each morning. Great value for money and very looked after by George. Bar staff too really nice guys. Lovely atmosphere can see why people return we would too ?

We had the best time here on a working holiday, for 2 weeks. It’s 5 min walk from the beach and Platanias and Chania are easy to get to with a frequent bus. Chilling by the pool was our favourite pastime when not working. The food and the cocktails at the restaurant and pool bar were amazing and the staff George and Nick are incredible hosts with great chat. Futura felt like a home for us and the guys like family. Highly recommend, would come back in an instant.

Stayed here 08/21 A modern clean hotel.Good pool and bar.Very friendly/welcoming staff.Bar food excellent and breakfast is continental all good quality but being British I did miss the eggs and bacon.Large one bed apartment with sea view very clean.Lots of steps around premises you need to be fit.A bit to far away from the restaurants and the stoney beach for us. Thanks to George and Nick plus family for a pleasant stay
