Can be a bit tricky to get in the water since there is gravel before you reach the sand a bit further out. Otherwise a nice beach with sunbeds and showers.

Lovely beach with many cafes and restaurants to stop at along the strip. Not very sandy so I'd recommend bringing flip flops but otherwise great.

If you're looking for a sandy beach, this really isn't a place to consider. You will definitely require beach shoes as large sized gravel with larger stones all over

Another beauty close to Kissamos. Not a Sandy Beach, but rather more pebbled. It's beauty lies in it's emptiness and the serenity of the wide open water. Lots of beach side tavernas along the road.

With rocks big enough to be used in a Middle Eastern stoning, this beach is like bolder city. Subsequently it is bloody painful to wade into the water. Though the beach is clean and doesn't seem to be filled with chaves. Some nice bars and restaurants along the front offering free sun beds of patrons, which is nice. Also many of these bars offer waiter service.

Maleme beach is perfect pebble beach, so lots of art stuff you can do with pebbles :) Find some rocks and making a picture out of them. The sea has a nice temperature and it is very calm. Also there are some turtle nests! That’s Amazing!!! That spot is so quiet, you can hear the waves lightly bashing against the shore. There are umbrellas, also trees too have nice shade so you can easily fall asleep on the sun-bed. SUGGESTION: because this beach has lots of stones my suggestion is to wear Aqua shoes to prevent cuts and stings from rocks. Enjoy!!!

The beach has pebbles instead of sand. This has its pros and cons, the pros being that sand does not stick on your feet, and the cons being that it's a bit painful to walk on gravel instead of sand (I recommend bringing flip-flops.). The beach is really clean and offers sunbeds for rent, most of the bars offer waiter service.

Clean beach with pebbles without seaweeds. In the deeper water there is sand. There is a lifeguard during the day. He advised us that the smallest waves are in the morning and in the evening there are usually very big waves. At the parking lots, there is shower with fresh water. There are also many taverns and bars nearby.
