The staff working there is okay. The problem is you go there to pick up your parcels because you’ve been left a note of unsuccessfull attempted delivery, by the postmen, meanwhile you where home waiting for it.

Despite the negative reviews, my experience in this post office has been pleasant. Friendly staff and really helpful. Wait times could be faster, but hell... This is Greek public services.

Slowest customer service ever! Had to wait one hour to receive a packet!Start to work more professionally you supposed to be customer oriented!! Shame!

The opening hours are very good but that's the only real positive I can find. They employees take their time chatting or suddenly disappearing for half an hour breaks even when the post office is full of people. They'll start screeching at you and wasting even more of everyone's time if you dare ask them anything that might resemble criticism so most people refrain to merely loathing them silently while they wait for their turn for about an hour or so. If you go pick up someone else's packet, they insist on more than the perfectly legal authorisation with a confirmed signature on it that you present them with, requesting irrational things like you handing them the actual ID of the person you represent (leaving that person without their ID for the day) instead of say a perfectly legal photocopy of both sides of said ID. All that for mail that's often not even registered. Obviously this absurd (and illegal) bureaucracy makes the already slow service even slower, even when most people do confirm to their unlawful rules. Their mailmen contribute to this mess by finding packets containing 1 small book too heavy or too large to deliver at someone's house and instead forcing even more people to go all the way here so they can waste half an hour or more waiting for their turn. (I've also had mail lost because they decided to leave it on random places like railings or on the sidewalk instead of walking 5 meters to place it in the mailbox.) To make things worse, a lot of times the notice only appears 1-2 days before the final day the packet will be available for you to pick up because the mailman was too lazy to even drop by to leave the notice. Overall, a pretty bad service.

Personally, i never had an issue with Elta Post Offices. Seeing all these negative reviews makes me wonder if the problem is the customer and not the provider. People at the desks are friendly and very helpful. Due to the pandemic it is only logical for the queue to be a little longer than usual. Overall very satisfied. 8/10 ??

ELTA VARKIZA overchanging!!!!! I have 3 parcels 220gr, 340 gr and 800 gr and what they do, they put everything together on the scale and changing me each parcel for 12 euro.... = 36 euro in total, but THIS IS TOTALLY WRONG! Elta has Price list on their website and these 3 packages go for 3 different category by weight. So, i had to pay for 220 gr = 4 euro, for 340 gr = 7.5 euro and for 800 gr = 12 euro, while they changing me 12 euro for each!!!! BE AWARE !!!! They dont know their job! I do by myself weblabeling, put B category but they changing me as for A category.... never explain to a client all the options.... they decide by THEMSELVES how much client will pay....
