★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unacceptable, during Corona pandemic with 3000 cases per day to be full train with closed all windows and not to be able to open them. Like fish in cane. Supposedly this train has special AC, who believes in it?♀️ nobody control anyone, any tests, nothing, masks not all people had even. We decided not to go. Be ready that money for tickets nobody returns to you, you pay 40 Euro in pipe.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The journey with the train itself is very nice as the wagons pass through Vouraikos gorge! The route is full of rocks, water and trees! The price though is a bit high! Furthermore I find it UNACCEPTABLE, during the pandemic times, to allow full capacity on the train, which is very small! There was no control for masks or for vaccination cartificates! The lady that was checking the tickets asked us to close the window! In the wagon there were people coughing! Of course the window was left open! Please keep in mind these conditions in case you belong to a sensitive health group!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really special train route. It took 1 hour from diakopto to Kernisita. The view was amazing. Looks like we were travelling through the rocky mountains. We saw s lot of red rocks and green trees. Nice experience!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The price of this trip is too high for what is offered. The photos we saw online are not reflectig the reality. The speed of the train didn't allow us to take any photos or enjoy the trip. Once you arrive to Diakopto, you have 10 minutes break and then you have to take the return train. I wouldn't reccomend it. It was a waste of time. Also, the toilets at the train station were broken no door dirty, no paper. Better visit Kalavryta village and the cave with lakes which in nearby and worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The most beautiful train journey in Greece! The Odontotos rack railway is a 750 mm wide narrow gauge railway that runs from Diakopto via the beautiful Vouraïkos Gorge to Kalavryta. The 22.35 km long railway was built between 1889 and 1895, and because on some stretches the lead percentage is more than 10%, rack rail tracks must be used (3.4 km in total). A single journey takes over an hour; who makes a return trip, for example, could cover part of the journey through the Vouraïkos Gorge on foot. Anyway, it is a magnificent journey!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you only want to ride one-way (1h trip) instead of both ways(2h) you have to find your own transportation from the location that it drops you off back to were you left your car for the ride. (Also 1h trip, 50€+ for taxi).
When I arrived they didn't even have a return route as an option. So NO I can't say I enjoyed this experience ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely morning trip on this special railway, highly recommended. Beautiful scenery. However, we were lucky to get tickets the day before, because it's only small, and seems vey popular, so I'd suggest buying the tickets well in advance in the summer. Also, on Monday the Holocaust museum is closed.
