★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not at all as dangerous as what can be read in previous opinions. Where there is a more dangerous section, there is a wire to cling to. Be careful not to slip the stones. 1 km all the way down and up :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Found this hike to be around 30mins on the descent to sweet water beach. Very scenic and a little high but the path is very well layed out and at no point are you dangling on the edge. I wouldn't attempt this in flip flops as we saw others do and there is no shaded areas so be prepared. From sweet water we then took the path to Loutro which isnt as steep and you pass some small deserted beaches on route. It took us 45mins carrying a good pace. From loutro we got the Anendyk boat back to hora sfakion where we parked, I believe the last boat was around 6pm but there are several operators so I dont think you can get stuck.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing view and very suggesting path. Walk totally worth it. You need to be trained and not suffering jelly legs and vertigo. Some parts are scary and very exposed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We walked from Chora Sfakion to Sweetwater in early November. Lovely view but the footpath is not for the faint hearted. Good shoes and lots of water is needed. I honestly prefer this to the various gorge trails.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incredibile views! The hike itself is not difficult and not really dangerous, takes around 25min, but the heat can make it an extreme experience. Recommend to take plenty of water and good shoes, the stones can be slippery even though there are supporting chains on the walls. The views are insanely beautiful, the beach quiet with clean water.

There are few spots to swim outside the crowd.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a beautiful, though mildly difficult hiking trail. The early segments of the E4 trail (after entering the trail from the road) are definitely the most difficult. It is possible to do this hike in sneakers or sandals, but I would definitely recommend hiking boots. Also, make sure to pack plenty of water as you are very exposed to the sun on this trail. Will definitely plan to return again and hopefully hike additional segments of this trail!
