Ο ναός σήμερα είναι περιτριγυρισμένος από πολυκατοικίες και βρίσκεται σε κακή κατάσταση. Δε διατηρεί τοιχογραφικό διάκοσμο αλλά παλαιότερα φιλοξένησε σημαντικές βυζαντινές και μεταβυζαντινές εικόνες μεταξύ των οποίων, πιθανότατα, και εκείνες της εκκλησίας του Χριστού. The former parish church of Prophet Elias dates back to the early 19th century and was the only church in the center of Veria that was saved from the fire of 1864. The church today is surrounded by apartment buildings and is in poor condition. It does not have frescoes, but in the past it housed important Byzantine and post-Byzantine icons, most likely those of the Church of Christ.

Διοργανώνονται γαμοι και βαπτίσεις. Όταν θα φεύγεις, προσοχή στο δρόμο γιατί στενεύει απότομα. Beautiful little church on a hill overlooking the plateau of Imathia. Relaxing spot for friends .. The small but picturesque chapel .. Weddings and christenings are organized. When you leave, watch out for the road as it narrows sharply.

A very nice church of Prophet Elias, with endless views, the place has really changed dramatically for the better, everything is as it should be, marked clearly, well done to those who contributed to this result and we should all help to the church is preserved.
A	ArtBill Vasilis Y. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Δύσκολα το βρήκαμε. Η σήμανση για την διαδρομή είναι κάτι μικρές μπλε πινακίδες και τα βέλη κατεύθυνσης ακόμη πιο μικρά. Με την 3η φορά το βρήκαμε. Η θέα στον κάμπο της Ημαθίας εκτείνεται μέχρι τον ποταμό Αλιάκμονα. Η εκκλησία μπορώ να πω πως εξωτερικά ήταν πολύ ωραία. Την ώρα της επισκέψεως μας ήταν κλειστή . We had a hard time finding it. The signage for the route is something small blue signs and the directional arrows even smaller. We found it the 3rd time. The view of the plain of Imathia extends to the river Aliakmonas. I can say that the church was very nice outside. It was closed at the time of our visit.
