★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ο ναός της Παναγίας Φανερωμένης κτίστηκε γύρω στα τέλη του 16ου αιώνα με τη μορφή τρίκλιτης βασιλικής και βρίσκεται ακριβώς δίπλα στο Μητροπολιτικό Ναό των Αποστόλων Πέτρου και Παύλου. Έλαβε το όνομά του από την εικόνα-προσκύνημα της Θεοτόκου Φανερωμένης που χρονολογείται τον 13ο αιώνα και βρίσκεται τοποθετημένη στο διακονικό του ναού. Λόγω της λειτουργίας του ναού ως ενοριακού, έχει υποστεί αλλεπάλληλες και σημαντικές παρεμβάσεις με αποτέλεσμα να χαθεί το μεγαλύτερο μέρος των τοιχογραφιών που κοσμούσαν τον αρχικό ναό.
The church of Panagia Faneromeni was built in the late 16th century as a basilica and is right next to the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul. He received its name from the image-shrine of the Virgin Faneromeni dating back to the 13th century and is located in the ministry of the church. Due to the function of the church as a parish, has undergone successive and significant interventions thus lost most of the frescoes that decorated the original church.
