★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Η χρονολογία κατασκευής του Μητροπολιτικού ναού των Αποστόλων Πέτρου και Παύλου καθώς και ο χρόνος μετατροπής του σε μητροπολιτικό ναό της Βέροιας δεν έχουν επιβεβαιωθεί μέχρι σήμερα. Οι εκτιμήσεις τοποθετούν την κατασκευή του ναού γύρω στο 15ο αιώνα μετά τη μετατροπή της παλιάς Μητρόπολης σε μουσουλμανικό τέμενος. Το 1728 ο ναός ανακαινίστηκε σημαντικά από τον Μητροπολίτη Ιωακείμ και τότε κατασκευάστηκε το τέμπλο και ο μητροπολιτικός θρόνος. Μετά την παρέμβαση αυτή ο ναός έλαβε τη μορφή μεγάλης τρίκλιτης βασιλικής ενώ στη δυτική πλευρά διατηρούνται ακόμα ίχνη τοιχογραφιών της ίδιας περιόδου.
The date of construction of the Cathedral of the Apostles Peter and Paul and the time of its conversion into the metropolitan church of Veria have not been confirmed to date. Estimates point to the construction of the church around the 15th century after the conversion of the old Cathedral into a mosque. In 1728 the church was significantly renovated by Metropolitan Ioakeim and then the temple and the Metropolitan Throne were constructed. After this intervention the church took the form of a large three-aisled basilica, while on the west side there are still traces of frescoes of the same period.
