Interesting architecture for visitors looking for the city's culture throughout the centuries. It's one of the most iconic churches of Thessaloniki's centre. Unfortunately, its surrounding is nowadays filled with trumps and beggars. Safe for most hours of the day, especially the sides facing Egnatia avenue.

I sat in this church and absorbed the presence of holiness for several hours… that’s all I have to say.

Church of Panagia Dexia (Virgin of the right hand) is so beautiful church. Its name refers to the image of Mary holding the Christ Child on her right hand instead of the customary left. Built in 1960 on the site of post-Byzantine church of St.Hypatia the Miracle Worker. Recommend!

In the very center of Thessaloniki, near the Arc de Triomphe, you can see a very beautiful temple called Panagia Dexia. It is famous for the fact that it contains the miraculous Kykkos Icon of the Mother of God, called the "Merciful". The church was built relatively recently, in 1956. Inside, the church is very richly decorated.
