Αποτελεί έναν από τους εντυπωσιακότερους κατασκευαστικά και αρχιτεκτονικά ναούς της Βέροιας με θαυμάσιο ξυλόγλυπτο τέμπλο, έργο των αρχών του 18ου αιώνα. Από τον αρχικό ζωγραφικό διάκοσμο που χρονολογείται στα 1550, διατηρείται μόλις ένα μικρό μέρος με τις περισσότερες τοιχογραφίες να έχουν καλυφθεί από μεταγενέστερες παρεμβάσεις.
The Church of St. Demetrius belongs to the type of three-aisled basilica and dated to the 16th century. It is one of the most impressive construction and architectural temples of Veria with a magnificent wood-carved iconostasis, a work of the early 18th century. From the original painted decoration dating to 1550, is kept only a small part with most paintings have been covered by later interventions.
