Coming to Creta was a marvellous adventure, I enjoyed staying at this hotel but I never expected the level of kindness the people who ran the hotel gave to me. The hotel truly felt like home and as a woman of transgender experience I approve of this place to any transgender travellers. Ben and Gordon and everyone in the hotel treated me like family and I never expected it be literally feel like a Homehotel but it did. The smaller Ben used to make me a drink ? called a “bakewell tart” named after the English pastry and omg I loved ? it. I will treasure the laughs we shared at the bar with Reneé omg ?. Thank you all for the wonderful experience, I hope to see you again. ☺️

Absolutely fantastic experience! The hotel is cozy, clean and comfortable. It’s very easy to get to different beaches from it, or the city centre (by bus). But if I had to highlight something, that would be the LOVELY staff: they give us many ideas about places to visit, how to move around the area, hidden gems to discover here in Crete, they called taxis and take away food for us many days... In summary: they saved us many hours of research and made us feel like home :)

Came with two friends for a week in the sun and it was perfect. Benjamin and Gordon were brilliant, very friendly and helpful. Truly feels like home from home. Loved our stay here. Would highly recommend. Thanks for a great week

Absolutely brilliant & affordable place to stay. The rooms are cozy and have private bathrooms. Like the rest of the hotel, the swimming pool is immaculately clean and inviting ahahaha! The morning breakfast is very well served and all crockery and cutlery are hygienically kept. The overall decoration will guarantee the perfect selfie shots and Instagram posts! Also, the location is beautiful, only moments from the beach, supermarkets and innumerous café/bars etc. Ben and Gordon (the owners) are so friendly which is why "Home Hotel" is the perfect name, they make sure you're well looked after and make the extra effort to engage in conversation with you too so that you feel more than just a passerby. Honestly, I cannot fault this facility at all. It's the best place I have ever stayed in and that is actually an understatement. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT & cannot wait to come back!!!

Home Hotel is literally a home from home. Simple but inviting rooms, great hosts and always freshly cooked food. The bar is well stocked and gardens are pretty. The pool (although I didn't use it) is very deep. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

On arrival looked very plain and a bit tired. A little worrying but the optimist in me told me to dismiss that and focus on what lies ahead. Nice welcome by Ben. Very informal, clean reception area and liked the book area layout. It went wrong when shown our room. Requested a double, we're given a twin. Room was what I can only describe as being like a hostel! Two basic pine single beds, mattresses to match. Lampshade missing from wall light, rotten wood door, garish coloured small shower/bathroom, dirty dusty balcony overlooking an untidy pool/garden with a couple of wheelbarrows, pallet and dirty lilos. Very basic decor. Furniture all odd, nothing matched. The owner said he would arrange another room which after we waited over an hour decided to 'jump ship' and found Irene apartments on the front which was a relief and a complete contrast to Home Hotel. A little awkward explaining to Ben we wouldn't be staying and the fact it took over an hour to get another room ready led us to believe it wouldn't be much better than the toom we were in so took our suitcases 9 minutes walk to the front and have had a fantastic holiday. Never had to do this before but we really couldn't stay!

My wife and I and two step kids (26 and 28) stayed here in September 2019. we have travelled all over and can honestly say we loved it here. Gordon, Ben, Bruno and the other staff (sorry didn't get their names) were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. Anyone who gives this place a bad review needs to give their head a shake. Situated in a great location but far enough to experience piece and quiet. Breakfast bang on, bar food available all day. We will be going back. Thanks guys.

I am a bit late, my husband and I stayed at Home Hotel last year (2018) in October. We had the very best time. The owners are kind and helpful, it is a place to feel at home. The beach is a close walk away, the bus station (up to the hill) also. If we ever come to Crete again, this is our first choice. Best regards from Germany ??
