There is a cafe and a small duty free on the inside and car rental and cafe on the outside of security. Don't expect to be able to get travel essentials here. Upon departure, the multitude of passport checks at security, at passport control and for embarkment make the process tedious.

We been in diffrent room making a shopping and they just close the doors and didn't want to let us in just 10min before flight! Specially there is one lady tall with long black hair the ruddest person I ever meet ! Can't belive that those people take place to work with customers! A big shame!

R	Ryan Ingham on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ How can an airport so small have such a significant flight delay? It's absolutely remarkable and for all the wrong reasons. This was all caused by the incompetence of the airport itself. Firstly, it is a mystery why security did not open until less than 1 hour before the scheduled flight. Secondly, I do not understand why the airport staff thought it would be a good idea to not separate the 2 flights (yes only 2!). As a result, people from the later scheduled flight were queuing and entering security before the earlier flight - did the airport staff not think to consider this might severely delay both flights? Finally, the airport is criminally understaffed. There was only 2 kiosks for checking passports and only 1 security belt open. Expect long outbound delays, or just fly from another airport, it will be quicker.
N	Nikolas Velissaris on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Let's start with the basics. Although this is an international airport, it is nothing like any international airport you may have on your mind. There are 4 check-in desks to accommodate 10 flights per day. As a result, the delays may be enormous. Our flight has just been delayed by 50min. In general it helps to land as close as possible to the lovely Costa Navarino and the surrounding area. Be prepared for long delays, work on your patience and keep your fingers crossed. Staff are trying their best and are always friendly with a smile on their face, so no reason at all to vent your frustration to them. I reckon it's just another example of the incompetent Greek government (current and previous ones).
G	G Βlα on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's not at all a big airport BUT it offers the possibility to visit mainland Greece (kalamata) that is a beautiful place and has some amazing scenery, beaches but also mountains. I try to fly directly to Kalamata as it is really close to where my parents live. The airport is located in the outskirts of Kalamata and has easy access. I believe parking is free, the staff where polite when we checked in, went through security pretty fast and then enjoyed the last Greek tyropitas and cold drinks before our flight back to the UK.
