★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good traditional greek food, half a dozen of special pies and the best sausage and meatballs in a 20km radius. Sadly it is very much so not Covid-Protected and it is quite crowded. Masks in the shop are of course mandatory, but id also suggest bringing hand sanitizer and alcohol wipes to clean your table and chairs. Also lots of dogs, so if you have a dog that doesnt like its kind, stay away and be careful!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing spot for a coffee, and so close to Athens. It is located at few minutes driving distance from the city but ideal for a break. Kesariani's municipality runs the café.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A real gem of a shaded restaurant, set in a bend in the road going up the mountain. Food is basic but excellent and prepared on site. Being in the middle of the forest on the mountain, access is often hampered in summer months as the mountain is closed when heat and wind are high.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ one of the most relaxing spots in Ath. it is a place where you can enjoy silence privacy isolation and you can even have a nice meal or a coffee or a combination of many more activities. if what you need is some air, nature and refreshing your soul you won't regret it.. always close to Athen's centre but much more impressive comparing to any other park around..try it

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It has tables outside or the canteen and you can make picnic too and bring your own coffee. Me and my boyfriend ordered coffee and we could taste the medicine that they put on the filters. Don't recommend to buy coffee there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An oasis 10 mins away the city. This is the only place to buy something on Ymittos mountain. There are easily accessible paths around to walk, there is also a small water tank full of fishes and turtles. The lack of car parking spaces is among the pluses here to avoid overcrowding.

Amazing location full of nature vibes.. an accessible escape for all Athenians.
Small selection of locally made dishes and pies. Of course coffee and beverages with a low profile self service system, adding to the simplicity of the surrounding forest.
