I would like to say first of all that the hotel is not 4 stars as described in some sites. We paid an additional cost to clean the room and we were given a room with very old furniture with handles on very rusty doors and it was clean thanks to the lady who came every day and cleaned, changed the linen and towels. I noticed that the people at the reception but the management do not know how to smile at customers and do not have a sense of information. That is to inform tourists about certain places to visit in this beautiful island of Crete. The food was satisfying but it could have been even better. In conclusion, I would like to say Smile to the tourists because without them you would not be, and I would like to ask you if you know what Hospitality means. P.S. the alcoholic beverages at the pool bar were disgusting with chloramine. The Hotel is deserve only 1 ?

A wonderful holiday ! From the entrance to the resort I was very pleasantly impressed by the fact that everything was very clean and renovated . The green space , the swimming pool with the facilities and the bars look very good. At reception I was quickly accommodated although we asked and we got a room with exhibition south to see the rising sun . Rules bathrooms were displayed over all and were followed strictly all the staff of the hotel ! The room was clean , sanitized , and the bathroom with bathtub was recently renovated . The air conditioning worked well. I had an LCD TV in the room with mostly Greek and Russian programs . Linen was very clean and smelled of fresh . On the balcony we had two chairs and a table that was enough . Cleaning daily is made on the times 15 when children slept . For that I refused to May many times , but has not been a problem . The refrigerator small room not have had need of him. The restaurant with outdoor terrace and indoor and pool bars are excellent . At the entrance you disinfect your hands and then take plastic gloves to serve the meal in the Swedish buffet system . There are many types of food , fresh and very well cooked . Also for the vegans , vegetarians or with small children there are a lot of options , and the hotel staff helps you immediately . A food with really excellent ! All tourists have appreciated all employees restaurant and the bars . The waiters and chefs at this hotel are wonderful people ! We fell in love with these people from Crete . They work a lot and even though they were tired, they smile at you all the time and I always serve you with great pleasure so that you have the most beautiful vacation . I remember and appreciate particularly on Manolis , Antonis , Inga, Evgenya , Yanna but and to all colleagues their who are the May Top ! Manolis is a "maître of restaurant", a special man , a real boss . He works very , very much , is sure to not miss anything in the restaurant for that every tourist has to feel appreciated and respected ! November I served table on the terrace for outside , but who wants can you eat and the inside restaurant which is air conditioned . Very good and comforting cold drinks are served at the bars . The coffee is excellent . And thence can serve souvlaki and burger all day at the pool to . Everything is tasty and served very nicely . By the beach is going street and walk about 120 meters . Immediately to the right are sunbeds that cost 2.50 euros with a consumption included in this price. The beach of Ammoudara is beautiful with a fine sand and a very smooth entrance to the sea . You can go to sea about 30 meters and the water does not pass 1 , 60 meters . Although there are waves water sea is very warm since the morning , as a placer is for children . Breeze wind almost all the time you do it you feel great and you can sit on the beach , the sun and to get tan all day without to feel the heat . There are also free , exceptional public beaches that intertwine with the areas with sunbeds . Over all distancing social and hygiene to meet ! The hotel is very well positioned in the middle of Ammoudara resort . For that find very many taverns , restaurants, shops of all kinds , and in the evening you can walk or have fun in many ways . Everything has been so as we droit, and hotel Marilena we recommend and we appreciate the way particularly for all !!! I recommend !!!

Hotel is very old and needs renovation. We stayed in a family suite with two rooms which was the worst room I'v ever seen: tiny with a small hole instead of window. In addition restaurant ventilation pipe goes next to the window and is very noisy 24 hours long. You can guess what you'll have for dinner by smell. We payed additional money to move to two separate superiors to be able to sleep. Food was cheap and tasteless. In spite of hotel was fully booked, seems like owners are not interested in providing good service and take care of guests.

Hello. I'd like to say a few words about Marilena Hotel. The hotel is very close to the beach, the pool and garden are clean, the hotel looks very good, the rooms are cleaned daily, they have a balcony, free air conditioning. The restaurant is very clean, the food is traditional and international, every day something else, very tasty. The pool bar is open almost all day and there are drinks and snacks. The hotel staff is lovely, very friendly, helpful. Thank you Marilena hotel for the beautiful holiday! ?? ❤️ ??

Every worker, from reception to the buffet to the bar, was extremely helpful and friendly. The room and pool were clean, the food was hot, and the beach is a 2 minute walk away. There's also a bus right outside that takes you to Herklion, along with a bunch of tourist shops right next door. Loved our stay.

All included, but every additional thing you must pay, couple euros. Wifi, safe box, and similar small things. Its not very expensive but it makes you upset.

Great value for money. We stayed for a week as a last minute holiday June 12th-19th all inclusive. Staff were great. Helpful and cheerful. we booked a superior double with garden view and were very happy. room was cleaned and restocked every day for us. The food was great and had good variety and great Greek staples too. coffee machine at pool bar was nicer coffee than in restaurant but still all good. Alcoholic Drinks were good and lovely bar staff. They Also have free snacks all day long including crepes by the pool bar! which I think is a nice touch. with the taxi rank right outside the hotel it was perfect to get you everywhere you need to go. We went to the city a couple of times, to Knossos and to the beach twice around the coast at Agia pelagia (definitely recommend! Just beautiful!). Pool was great too. Only thing I would suggest is to make sure people don’t be greedy with the sun beds and leave towel on them in the morning for hours and hours and leaving hotel to go to the beach. that happened a few times. perhaps people can only reserve for a short while while having breakfast or lunch ect. although there is enough beds on the lower grass level either way. We were really happy with the interior of the lobby and the veranda at front of hotel. really nice comfy seating areas to relax. thank you hotel merilena for our lovely stay.
