Marina-Athens Hotel - Voulgari 13

I am deeply sad and angry with the staff of hotel "Marina", Athens. I stayed there for 6 days. I was hearing a loud scream every day. I thought it's a baby. But before I go, I saw a little cat in their inner courtyard. I asked the cleaners to open a door or a window to help the dying cat and they refused. The cat was screaming loudly every day. There is no way they didn't hear its sad and loud screams. They told me " Is this your cat. Of it' s not, why do you care?". What is the staff of this hotel!? These "people" don't have hearts. The poor cat didn't have anything to eat and to drink. It was dying alone there. It was screaming for help.... NO ONE from the staff of this hotel wanted to help it. And I thought it was a baby, not a cat. No receptionists, no cleaners, no cooks, no ONE wanted to help this starving and dying animal. The staff of this hotel is cruel and bad!!! The animal was small and innocent. It just couldn't get out of this building - the innet yard of this hotel for some reason. Maybe it was injured or had fallen there. They didn't want to help an innocent dying creature. Shame on them!!!! I wouldn't go in that hotel never again in my life!!!

Reasonable prices for good location. Nice breakfast. Modest but clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly staff

The hotel is fine. But it’s in a dangereuse area. The first day we arrive, a lot of man standing on the street and look at us. I wouldn’t recommend this to tourists who are not familiar with the city.

Bad area, was told I had a room with city views !! Not a great place to stay.

The hotel entrance is ok staff are very nice Rooms are horrible and small the area it is in is not nice needles in street and very dirty

If you don't mind the location. Its good place to sleep and have breakfast. It is clean and the breakfast is very good and rich. Its ten minutes from Omonia squer.There is a parking place for the car 100 meters down the street.

A nice hotel at a great price, about 5 minutes away from Monasteraki Metro station by foot, and less for pick up points tour operators use for day trips. Staff are knowledgeable, helpful and courteous: when I lost my passport they did everything they could to help me for which I am grateful. Room was comfortable and clean and there was a nice buffet breakfast served each morning. If I am ever in Athens again I will certainly stay here and would recommend it to others without hesitation. Thank you again for a wonderful stay.

All rooms do not meet a basic standard, for example blackout curtains which is a bit disappointing. Also, some members of staff are really professional while others aren't and it shows quite evident. The breakfast is of very poor quality. The good thing about the hotel location is that it isn't very noisy.
