Rooma was small but Clean and new. Good bed. Nice service. Simple breakfast. Close to attractions and metro but not the best neighborhood. Overall good value for money

This is exactly what it is. A four star hotel. The rooms are nicely kept and the cleaning staff does a fantastic job. The desk staff was also helpful especially the lady Fani. The wifi could be faster, at many times its slow because of many people sharing it. The breakfast is also great. The location is close to almost everything, just be careful at night. The reason this hotel does not get five stars is because the night we arrived to this hotel at; we were almost denied letting our 13 year old son stay the night by the man at the desk, Spiros at 2 AM. We put in a request for an extra bed for one of the rooms in advance and the request was not reviewed. We asked if he could have a spare bed moved to the room for the night and he denied it. He also said that there were no other rooms available for the night in which our son could stay and he would have to spend the night in another hotel. This was very frustrating as we were unfamiliar with the area, uncomfortable with letting our son be separated and he was reluctant to accommodate us. He insisted that of the five years of working at this hotel, "There is nothing I can do." Finally, after an hour of struggle at 3 AM he supposedly called his boss and agreed to let our guest stay in a single room for the night at an additional cost. This felt like robbery. In the morning, Fani fixed this issue and we had no problems the rest of our stay. Because of Spiros many customers will not go to this hotel and I warn all others to be wary of him. He will take advantage of you and is not family friendly.

Area seems shady, room has no amenities like a water kettle. Walls are very thin and we could hear our neighbors coming in at 1am in the morning after partying. Oh, we could hear the cars on the main road too. Breakfast area was stuffy with no ventilation. Breakfast spread was below average in terms of quality and options. I’m glad I only had to stay there for one night.

As I write this I am in the Chic hotel and I can tell you without a doubt, this is a run-down part of town. The graffiti is endless (all over the entire city and not just near this hotel), aggressive panhanderlers beg for Euros daily and, I even saw one guy seemingly shooting up drugs on the sidewalk one night. The streets are poorly lit and often smell like piss. The men's restroom in the lobby didn't have a toilet seat. Now for the good stuff. The staff is very nice and helpful. The hotel is adequate and seems to have been updated recently. The bathroom is wonderfully decorated with new tile. My room is bigger than most European hotel rooms in which I have stayed. The queen size bed was just what I needed since most other European hitels have small beds. I wish my shower head functioned properly though. I found the hotel to be mostly clean but, there are a few areas that need attention. The hotel is within walking distance of all of the big historical sites. No need to buy a ticket for those hop-on hop-off bus tours. All of the front desk staff speak enough English. There are several very affordable restaurants nearby at Omonia Square. With everything considered, I would say you get what you pay for. As long as you don't mind the surrounding area, this is a superb hotel for the price.

An inoffensive hotel in its own right. Comfortable and clean. Breakfast was sufficient. But here's nothing high tech about the hotel. Location was close enough to the central but in a horribly dodgy area of Athens where you have to dodge drunks and people shooting heroine on the street! This was a work trip so had no choice in location but if I had to do it again it would be definitely be somewhere else.

Don't misunderstand me, I would give this place 5 stars on it's own. The breakfast is good, simple but I always left satisfied and happy to begin my day. The staff are super nice and helpful, even at times where I was a bit agitated from traveling all day they were very professional and courteous. The rooms are nice sized with wonderful beds. I would disagree with other reviews complaining of the features I've mentioned above..... however, I would agree with the following comments made toward this hotel: 1) nothing there screamed Hi-Tech, not sure I understand what they mean by that, wireless is OK to slightly below average for other hotels I've frequented in Athens. 2) the neighborhood is horrible, well I guess that's not very fair; the people in the area did NOT cause me nor my wife any problems but it definitely is a GHETTO there. If you go walking down the side street withing 300 steps you'll think you're in the middle of an Afgan village and thinking you're going to be on the headlines tomorrow about a tourist killed in Athens. So, this is why I give this place 3 stars, I love the inside but I can't see myself ever retuning to this place again. They can't change the neighborhood so if you decided to stay here, do yourself a favor and budget in a lot more taxi costs.

Staff was nice and helpful, breakfast was basic but good. You get what you pay for. Neighbor is not a nice one to walk, although I didn’t fear for my safety. Walk distance to city attractions . My only complaint is that the bathroom is not well tough, once you shower, there is water every where, you can try showering before the cleaning person cleans the room.
